When I finished my story, Arwen looked at me with wide eyes. "You did not!" She exclaimed. "I thought Haldir was already taking things the fast way. Considering who he is and the fact he didn't have to rush things with you. But hearing this... Unbelievable!"
My shoulders fell at her words. Fear rising in my chest. But when she picked on, on my feelings she pulled me in a tight hug: "Don't you dare feel bad about it. Haldir needs someone that is challenging him. This man had his wishes and commands be followed for centuries. It is time someone makes him work for it and has him questioning his believes."
I let out a small laugh. "Poor Aragon. Does he know what trouble he got himself into?"
Arwen smiled at me: "I don't know. He might as well find out the hard way." Then she reached towards the amphora, hissing when she found it to be empty. I rose from my seat. "We might as well get you back to your room. I am sure Elrond is starting to worry."
"Ah yes..." She lamented. "My father and his antics. After my mother left for Valinor he became so protective of me and my brothers. And letting me go now, brings great tragedy to his soul."
I pulled her into a tight hug. "He does it because he loves you." She threw her hands in the air. "But who am I to kick his unconditional love with my feet?"
"Someone with a free will. You are allowed to make your own decisions. Even if they are not, what your father planned for you." Together we made our way back to her room, not without stopping at the kitchen and putting the amphora and goblets back to where they belong. When we reached her Talan, Elrond was already waiting for her return. "Arwen! Where have you been. I was worried."
"Everything is alright." She calmed him. "I was with Visha. Learning some new things about our witch and her commander." Elrond raised an eyebrow at her words, looking at me. I shrugged it off with a smile: "I guess someone had a wine or two too much." Like she was purposely trying to get me in trouble, Arwen leaned her full weight on her father. "I love you, Visha. You are a great friend. Thank you."
I smiled at her. "And I will be your friend to the day we part." Elronds face contorted at the thought of what his daughter was about to do, but Arwen didn't seem to realize it: "I cant believe I will be outlived by a human" I patted her shoulder: "We don't know if that is going to happen. You have head start of two and a half thousand years and I am a mercenary and a soldier. Who knows what the future might hold for me. I might get killed in no time." Winking at her I stepped back. "See you tomorrow. You need a good night of sleep, because I am sure you wont get much the next few days."
"Visha!" Elrond exclaimed, shocked at my bold statement, but Arwen was cackling in his arms. "Yeah, believing of what you told me, I am pretty sure I wont." The more she said the more Elronds face went from disbelieving to pure horror. I just raised my arms in defeat. "Might have told her some things. You know never ride unprepared to battle."
He sighted and pulled her in the room. Picking up the conversation when we left, he looked at me. "I am sure you are a criminal. Solely send out to corrupt the innocence of my daughter." His words were a stitch to my honor, but I could see the sarcastic smile in his eyes, so I pushed a little further than I probably should have: "Hmm I think I will let Aragon do that. I will just make sure she goes down singing"
Now he was smiling, although his eyes squinted at the thought of Aragons and Arwens future actions. "Get yourself back to your husband, before I help you!" Giggling I turned around and made my way back to the guest room, Haldir and I occupied during our stay at Minas Tirith.
