Michael's POV

The ground was shaking. I'm no scientist expert person, but I totally believed there was an earthquake. I had been screaming and running under to the table. I ran my fingers through my hair and felt like tearing them out. I'd never been in an earthquake before and this was a traumatizing experience for me. I started crying. I felt like a fool for hiding under a table in my house, crying because the ground was moving. I then thought I remembered my parents saying to get only under a doorway frame. I found one and ran. Before I could make it, a gigantic crash came upon me and I was knocked to the floor from a heavy blow.

~a few hours later~

I woke up and the ground wasn't moving anymore. I looked around but my head started pounding and stinging. I touched the side of my head but it was squishy and wet. I pulled my fingers into view and they were soaked in blood. I started gagging and I called Ashton, Calum, Luke, and Skylar. They said they were alright, but I told them they needed to take me to the hospital.

~hospital~

I was in the doctor's office while everyone was standing in the waiting room. Skylar was by my side while Ashton, Luke, and Calum were on the other side. Becca was just pacing the room while checking her tumblr dash. Skylar took out her phone and I saw her typing things. I suddenly got a text message.

Why can't we tell them? x Skylar

I replied back.

Because, do you want to be ridiculed?

I looked up to find her looking at me and shaking her head. I ran my fingers through my black hair, avoiding the part the doctors stitched up. The door opened to reveal the petite, blonde, and stern looking nurse. Following her was the very tall male doctor, Dr. Burnside.

"Well, Mr. Clifford, it seems the earthquake hit you pretty hard. We found some debris in your head and we removed them immediately. You'll have to have a bandage on it for three days and then you can remove it permanently," Dr. Burnside stated. I nodded while Ashton jotted it down.

"Ashton, what are you doing?" Becca asked, still not looking up from her phone.

"I'm taking notes on how Michael needs to be treated and healed."

I rolled my eyes.

"Ashton! It's not like I caught on fire or something!" I told him.

"Oh, could you imagine that, though? That'd be awful," Skylar commented.

~an hour later~

They finally assigned me certain medications and stated I needed to change out the bandages on my head every morning and night; when I wake up and then when I go to bed. We drove home and ended up watching movies for the rest of the day at Luke's house. He told us we would have to leave before his parents got home because they (no offense) didn't like us. No offense was taken. I complained and whined a little during the time if I wanted/needed something. This injury might not be such a bad thing because I'll always get my way and my excuse will be "But I got injured in an earthquake, I could've died!" Genius.

Soon, Luke is telling us we gave to gather our things and start heading out. Skylar volunteered to drive me home since I wasn't physically stable at the moment. The car-ride to my house wasn't that talkative. Becca sat quietly on her phone and listened to music in the back, I sat in the passenger seat while admiring the view outside my window and Skylar drove, occasionally singing quietly to songs on the radio.
