Becca's POV

As we sat in the waiting room for any scrap of news on Michael and Calum, a girl about my height, long white and black hair that made her look like Cruella De Vill, a Twenty øne piløts shirt, flannel toed around her waist, and black skinny jeans walked towards us.

"Skylar?" Ashton asked in amazement.

"Didn't you, like, run away?" Luke questioned.

"Not 'like', I did run away," Skylar snapped at Luke, "which ended up getting Malum in a car accident. I got the text and I felt so guilty, so I came back. I ran from my problems to clear out my head. But that was wrong of me. I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize to us. The people you should apologize to are lying in hospital beds," I told her straightforward. I wanted to add a "because of you" at the end but that'd seem to harsh. I understand the girl has been through a lot so she didn't need more harshness.

She looked down at her feet and nodded.

"I know. I apologized to Calum already, Michael is still unconscious. And, you know, I chose to come back. I could've just left and made a new life for myself. Be grateful I actually came back."

"I understand. But, I'm really starting to friendship this question," I knew she couldn't resist a Teen Wolf blooper quote.

She rolled her eyes and tried not to smile.

"Is now really the time to quote Teen Wolf?"

"Always."

"Harry Potter now? Wow," she chuckled.

"So is this all behind us now? Can we all behave and act our age and go back to normal?" Ashton asked, being the adult of our group.

Skylar nodded and I copied her.

"Good. Now, if I remember correctly, you said you apologized to Calum which means he's awake, yes?"

"Yes. I think Michael is still unconscious," Skylar repeated.

"Well, let's go give them a visit then," I said.

Michael's POV

When the footsteps of Skylar faded, I turned my head to the kiwi boy next to me.

"You guys kissed."

He jumped in surprise and a blush creeped onto his cheeks.

"You heard?"

"Of course I did, I'm not retarded or deaf," I snapped before realizing I was being mean, so I softened my face and voice, "Do you really love and care for her?"

He seemed taken aback by this before pulling himself back together.

"Yes. Very much."

I sighed and smiled at him — a genuine smile.

"Take care of her like I should've."

Right after I said that, the door opened.

First, Skylar came in; then Ashton, Becca, and Luke.

"Michael, you're awake!" Luke exclaimed, a smile appearing on his face before he realized what he was doing and he tried acting cool (which didn't work).

Skylar stared at me in surprise and I don't know...sadness maybe? Unhappiness? I couldn't tell, but it became really awkwardly silent.

"How're you two doing?" Ashton asked, standing between the both of us and breaking the awkward silence.

I coughed.

"I'm fine," I added a smile at the end to assure them.

"I feel great," Calum stated. I noticed he was staring at Skylar.

"Well, that's good," Ashton replied with a smile to both of us.

"Did you happen to hear from a doctor or nurse when we could leave?" I asked them.

"Yeah they actually said tomorrow, no worries. Well, they didn't say 'no worries' but they did say you can leave tomorrow. The no worries part was in my own words...well, it's what I added...um, I'll shut up," Luke rambled.

Becca giggled.

"Awe, it's okay, Lukey."

I saw him blush and I smirked.

"Is Luke blushing?" I taunted.

"sHUT UP, CLIFFORD!" Luke snapped, his cheeks growing a deeper shade of red.

"Anyyyyywaaaayyyysssss," Calum interrupted, "what are we gonna do until the new day arrives?"

Ashton shrugged.

"Whatever can occupy us, I guess. We could always bring in some ice cream–"

A nurse's head then popped in, her face in a scowl and her bright red lips in a straight line.

"No outside food and/or drinks allowed in the hospital and it is strictly forbidden to give the patients the outside food/drinks," her voice was high and nasally  and then she was gone.

We were silent for a moment before I spoke up.

"Well then."

"How about we bring in one of our laptops and we could watch a movie," Luke suggested.

"That sounds like fun," Skylar said finally.

"I'm in," Calum replied.

"Same," Ashton agreed.

"I'm up for a movie," Becca stated.

All eyes came to me now. I shrugged.

"Okay, I guess."
