An Evil Possession

Chapter 35: The Betrayal

I am standing in front of the mirror that's in my throne room just looking at my appearance. The blackish purple area on the left side of my face has spread down my neck and left arm and was covering a lot of my left hand. The black area itch a little but not much.
I go back to my throne and sit on it so I can talk to my oh so wonderful sword.
After a few minutes of chatting with the Seductive Rose, I hear two sets of footsteps.
We have guests, Bryan.
I look to the left and I see Lo'Pho and Kaykrae.
I grin mischievously.
"Well well. Lo'Pho and Kaykrae. What do I owe the pleasure for your visit?" I asked as relax back in my throne.
"We just wanted to check up on you, Bryan." Kaykrae says as she slithers closer to me.
"I'm doing great!" I tell her with my grin widening.
"Glad to hear, Bryan." Lo'Pho says to me.
After a few minutes of talking, Kaykrae mentions something about the Son of Zeus being afraid of me.
That peaks my interest.
"He fears me?" I asked with excitement growing in me.
"He does." Lo'Pho confirmed with a slightly confused look on his face from my tone of voice.
"As he should." I say with my grin turning a little more sinister.
"Why should he be afraid of you, Bryan?" Kaykrae asks me with confusion.
I feel a headache come back but it feels a little different.
Small pangs of guilt start hitting me but I ignore them.
"It proves how I am better than he could ever be." I laugh maniacally.
I notice Kaykrae and Lo'Pho look at each other and then look back at me.
I feel the pangs of guilt become stronger.
Another one of my headaches come and it's a little different than the other ones.
"I have an idea, Bryan. How about you can just talk to Mario with us?" Kaykrae suggests to me. Lo'Pho nods in agreement. I look at Kaykrae and Lo'Pho.
I scoff a laugh.
"I don't know about talking to him." I say as I hop off my throne and grab the Seductive Rose and sheathe it. I walk back to the two.
"Destroying him though, that I will do!" I continued before letting out a sinister laugh.
"We can't let you do that, Bryan." Kaykrae says sternly.
I look at her in shock.
"What do you mean by 'you can't let me do it'?" I asked in confusion.
"We can't just let you just destroy someone." She explains.
"It's okay if you hate him of course but destroying him isn't the answer." Kaykrae continues. I keep on looking confused.
My headache suddenly flares up. I cry out it pain and I clutch my head.
"Bryan? You okay?" Lo'Pho asks me worriedly.
My headache goes down again. I look at him with scared look in my face.
"Help me please..." I beg to both him and Kaykrae.
"We will Bryan. I promise." Kaykrae explains to me as she places her hand on my shoulder. I let her to do it.
"I don't want to look like this anymore." I mumble to her.
Don't listen to her, Bryan. Oh there are guests coming!
I look at my Seductive Rose.
"What's that, Seductive Rose? We have guests." I say and confusion hits both Lo'Pho and Kaykrae.
They both turn around and I look around them to see Xylo and Mario.
I feel anger rise in me. They lied to me?
Yes, Bryan. They did lie to you. That's why I told you to not listen. I was trying to save you, Bryan.
"What are you both doing here?" Kaykrae asks Xylo and Mario in confusion.
"We wanted to give you two backup." Xylo explains to her.
"This was all a trick wasn't it?" I asked angrily. I grab my sword's handle.
You should punish them for lying to you.
"No we weren't!" Kaykrae explains to me.
Mario comes into eye view of me.
"You brought Mario in my castle?" I asked as I feel my anger grow faster and turn into violent rage. I start to pull my sword out of it's sheathe.
I start to quietly laugh maniacally.
"You don't have to do this, Bryan! They aren't involved in this." Mario tries to reason with me.
"You got them involved. Whatever happens to them is on your hands." I explain as a cruel grin starts to grow on my face.
I pull the Seductive Rose out fully and I grab Kaykrae. Before anyone could react, I stab her in her abdomen. She cries out in pain.
Everyone gasps in shock.
"No!" Mario shouts out.
I kick Kaykrae off my sword and I turn around to walk back to my throne.
I turn back around to see Lo'Pho had summoned his healing circle thing.
I feel a taunting grin appear on my face. I then laugh maniacally loudly.
I sit down in my throne.
"Why did you do this?!" Mario asks me in horror.
"To punish you, Mario. Well that and the betrayal I just had to experience." I explained to him in taunting tone.
"Now get out!" I snap at all of them.
I watch as they all leave one by one with Lo'Pho flying Kaykrae out.
"They really didn't expect me to try and kill Kaykrae. Well I hope she dies." I tell SR with a sadistic grin. I lean back in my throne.
You definitely showed them, Bryan. Wonderful job!
I feel my grin widen in happiness at hearing the praise from SR.
You deserve a reward for doing such a great job.
I feel myself sudden getting an increase of power. It's such an addicting and wonderful feeling.
"Now onto working so the titans can be released." I say then laugh maniacally once again.
