Chapter 7: Power Searching

A Week Later

I am in my cabin flipping through the pages of a book for very power artifacts while laying on my bed.
I'm looking for objects that catch my eye that could make me more powerful.
I come across a page that talks about a object called the 'Mirror Of Amaterasu'.

The Mirror Of Amaterasu seems promising. Let's go find it and gain its power.

I nod in agreement. I feel a grin appear on my face.
"Let's go find it." I say excitedly.
I read more and there is supposed to be dangerous creatures guarding the Mirror Of Amaterasu.
"No matter. I should be able to handle them with the Seductive Rose." I say as I look at my sword which is at the side of me. I then hear the cabin door open and I turn my head to see Freddy.
"Hey Freddy." I greet before going back to the book in my hands.
"You look like you haven't gotten any sleep." Freddy comments.
I just nod while half listening to him.
"What is going on, Bryan?" Freddy asked me with a worried tone in his voice.
I feel myself getting angry.
Why doesn't he get the hint that I'm fine?
"Nothing is wrong, Freddy." I explained to him with an annoyed tone.
"Yes there is. You haven't been acting like yourself." He says to me as he walks in front of my bed. I let out a very annoyed sigh.
I close my book and placed it on the table next to me.
I climb off my bed.
I face Freddy as I lean down and grab the Seductive Rose and put it back in its sheath.
"What do you mean by that, Freddy?" I angrily asked him.
"You have been getting angry at the slightest of things and snapping at people to the point of being violent. Plus the whole you being obsessed with your sword which I believe is the cause of you acting this way." Freddy explains. I scoff angrily.
"My sword has done nothing but help me, Freddy!" I snapped at him. I feel my anger growing even stronger. I grab the book and I storm out of the cabin and slam the door shut violently.
I walk down the walk way toward the dock.
Once there I sit down and breathe heavily in order to try and calm myself down.
I think.
Why am I acting this way?
I look at the Seductive Rose.
Is Freddy right about the Seductive Rose?
I start to think about Freddy said about my sword. Then I feel a painful headache come out of nowhere.
I cry out in pain and I grab my head.
My vision turns into a purple haze.
Once it fades, my headache goes away.
"No. Freddy isn't right about you, Seductive Rose. All you have done is help me." I tell the Seductive Rose. I remove the Seductive Rose from the sheathe and I hold it in my hand. I lean my head against the flat part of the blade and breathe heavily.
