The following morning, Blizzard decided to go for a walk so he could get used to being on his own for a while. A few minutes into his walk, Blizzard saw a white female wolf named Icicle.
She was apparently watching him through some shrubs nearby. She walked out of them and stood four yards in front of Blizzard. Blizzard's brother Spruce came over and saw Icicle.
He growled a little, but didn't make any sudden moved. Icicle then turned away and left. Blizzard and Spruce caught a deer foal and brought it back to the den. Glacier noticed that Blizzard smelled a little different.
Apparently, the bushes that Blizzard had walked through gave off a certain smell.
He brought Feather and Birch with him as he walked outside, sniffing Blizzard's scent and following it so he could find out where he went.
Soon, Glacier, Feather and Birch found Icicle sitting under a tree eating a rabbit that she caught. The three wolves growled at her as she growled back. The three wolves decided to go back home to the den.
