Early the next morning, Blizzard, Spruce, and Birch went outside to check their family's territory.
As they scratched trees and scent marked them, the three juvenile wolves noticed a young brown wolf near their territory.
It appeared that the wolf was chasing a rabbit, which ran around some trees, trying to throw the wolf off its heels.
The brown wolf finally leapt in the air as he landed over the rabbit and bit down on its neck, breaking it.
After picking up his rabbit, the brown wolf looked up and saw Blizzard, Spruce, and Birch watching him.
The wolf's name was Teigtooth, and he lived with his family near a different part of the Eastern region of the forest.
Twigtooth left, carrying his rabbit with him. Blizzard and his siblings had already finished marking their territory, so they decided to go hunting.
Half an hour later, the three young wolves were in the more wooded section of the forest, and had picked up the scent of elk.
Following the scent and hoping to find some elk, Blizzard, Spruce, and Birch trotted through the forest until they had found a small elk herd grazing just a few yards outside of the woods.
Blizzard and Spruce separated from each other with Spruce creeping towards the elk fromt the left, as Blizzard did the same on the right.
Birch stayed down near the semi long grass as her brothers soon startled the elk herd.
The elk ran to the left, but Spruce herded them back over to Blizzard, who ran around them in a circle, meeting up with Spruce as they were soon able to spilt up an elk from the herd.
That was Birch's que, because she stod up and ran towards the elk and jumped, aiming at its face.
The young female wolf closed her jaws down on the front of the elk's neck, causing it to bleed as she held on.
Spruce and Blizzard were busy attacking the elk from its sides, and then brought it down.
A few minutes after they brought the elk down, the three young wolves killed it, and began to drag it home.
Soon, they made it home with the elk carcass. Glacier and Feather greeted them as they all shared the elk.
