Later that day, Blizzard and his siblings found a group of rabbits. Once they were in their hunting positions, the young wolves began to chase the rabbits, scattering them in different directions.
Suddenly, another juvenile wolf came running out of nowhere, and slammed his left shoulder into a rabbit, knocking it over. As the rabbit struggled to quickly get up, the wolf closed his jaws over it's neck, and bit down really hard.
The wolf looked up and saw Blizzard, Spruce, and Birch staring at him with rabbits in their mouths. They had never seen another wolf take down a rabbit like the lone wolf did.
The wolf's name was Gashtooth, and he was the little brother of Scartooth and the twin brother of Scourgetooth. Gashtooth lived alone because he got lost when hunters came to his family's territory and shot at them.
So the young wolf took off and later found his brothers Scartooth, and Scourgetooth. He sometimes went off alone in the forest for a few weeks and came back to his brothers later on.
Gashtooth killed another rabbit and left. Blizzard, Spruce, and Birch decided to leave and head home. They would see Gashtooth again in the very near future. And he would be a very influential wolf as different as he was.
