We continued throughout the school's corridors. Izadora had asked everyone to gather in the Blue Topazes school corridor and now she would take us to the school cafeteria, where we were supposed to gather the very next morning.
Every house seemed to have gathered now, for a common first dinner. Everyone's family members had now gone home, so only the students were left.
The test would take place later the same day, but the teachers had decided that everyone would get s chance to get to know each other. After all, we would spend time with each other every single day for the next four years.Izadora led us to the last table, our table.
Liam looked over me, before he walked over to his own, the Rubies.
We sat down in a row and awaited orders from Izadora or one of the teachers at the main table. A few minutes passed. The youngsters started to become inpatient, started talking to each other instead of waiting. But then Mr. Brock rose. He looked out over the sea with expectant youngsters. He smiled contentedly, as if he was pleased that for once he had a relatively large crowd that could make it through the test.
He cleared his throat, as if to get everyone's attention.
"Hello, everyone," he said. "It is a great honor to welcome you to Mystic Academy's test. I sincerely hope that it will go well for all of you. Good luck."
