Chapter Thirteen

Roman's P.O.V

It took us the same amount of time to get back as it took us to get to the mountains. It's mid-day. We're walking up to Arina's home. We get to the door and knock.

"You guys are back. Did you get the flowers?" Arina asks after opening it up.

"We did. I got 10 of them," I say as I pull them out.

"Good. I'll make the extra potion just in case. Now I'm sure you're tired from your journey. Clean yourselves up and rest a while," she says.

"Do you have everything you need to make them?" Logan asks.

"Yes. Your friends were very helpful in finding the herbs. They're downstairs. I told them to hide when I heard the knock," she responds. "Your clothes were washed. They're in the shed," she adds.

"Thanks," I tell her.

"Let's head down and tell the others," Logan says to me and Patton. The two of us nod in agreement. We make our way to the stairs and head down.

"You're back!" Remus says when he sees us.

"Did you guys get them?" Janus asks.

"We got them," Logan says.

"That's great. Maya should be returning at the end of the week. She left not long after you guys," Ollie informs us.

"I'm gonna go wash up real quick," I tell everyone.

"Alright. We'll go after you," Patton says with a smile. I nod and head back upstairs. I pass by Arina as I head outside. Looks like she's started on the spell-breaking potions.

I make it outside and head to the shed out back. The tub is empty so I need to fill it. Once I'm finished doing that I go ahead and bathe. When I'm done I get dressed and then refill the tub again for whoever goes next.

While walking back to the house I think about Virgil. Soon my thoughts go to my father and Redrick. I'm sure they're worried and probably angry. At least in my father's case. He did tell us that we weren't allowed to go after Virgil. I had to though. I hope that when we return he will understand that. I'm sure we'll still get in trouble. though.

I walk back inside the house and head downstairs.

"Tubs filled for one of you to go next," I tell my friends.

"We've all already bathed," Ollie says as he gestures to himself, Janus, and Remus.

"Do you mind if I go first, Logan?" Patton asks.

"Not at all. I can wait," Logan responds.

"Thanks," Patton says with a smile. Then he leaves. I walk over to where I slept before and sit down.

"Are you alright?" Logan asks as he sits next to me.

"Hmm? I'm fine," I tell him.

He gives me the same look he's always given me when he knows I'm lying. I take a deep breath and tell him that I'm simply worried. About Virgil as well as my brother and father. Not to mention any of my friends could get hurt.

"Everything will work out," he tells me. He's not one to give false hope so he must believe that.

"Yeah. You're right," I say in return.

We go on to talk about our lives. Eventually, Patton returns. Logan gets up to go bathe. I turn my attention to all my friends and brother. They're playing some type of game to pass the time. Logan returns after a while and we all hang around with each other. Soon it gets dark and we all go to sleep.
