After the events of earlier that morning, Lightbulb and Fan went back to sleep (with the removal of Fan's carpet from the bathroom of course), and they slept for the rest of the night until.

Beep beep beep.

Fan's alarm goes off at 9:00 AM sharp, waking him up to be ready for a new day. He silences it and sits up as all the memories of earlier that morning flood his brain.

"I paid a lot for that carpet..." He whispers to himself, his voice still showing a bit of grogginess in it. "Guess I could replace it or something.."

He trails off as he picks up his phone to check his bank balance, and remembers he's broke as he only sees $1.69 in his bank account.

"Crud..." He knew that just having internet fame wouldn't pay off. (Ad revenue only pays so much, y'know.)

He was thinking of how to get some money to buy a new bathroom carpet and finally decided on starting a GoFundMe.

Fan grieves the loss of his poor, unfortunate, and way too expensive carpet.

"Wait, why was Lightbulb up doing that at 3 AM anyways?" Fan ponders to himself.

Paintbrush sits up in the bed on the opposite side of the room. "Fan, can you please keep your self chattering to a minimum, I'm trying to get a decent rest after you woke me up at fucking 3 AM with your shouting and screaming!" there was a slight whistling heard as the tall one took a breath in.

"Yeah, yeah, sorry..." Fan half-apologizes, still setting up the GoFundMe on his phone.

He would probably ask his friends to donate, but he didn't know if they actually would (or if they had any money in that matter), but this would really help.

He got out of bed and slowly made his way to the door. He used to have the daily routine of giving Baxter a head pat before leaving his room, but since Lightbulb moved into the hotel, he had to throw away that part of his routine.

As he steps out into the hall, a part of his day feeling not complete. The sound of people chatting in their own rooms fills his ears. He attempts to figure out what will be for breakfast by the scent, yet it remains inconclusive. He is about to walk down the stairs when he's called out by a person whom he'd rather not think about at the moment.

"Hey flat-face!"

It better not be...

Fan turns around to just prove his predictions are correct.

And they were.

Lightbulb rushes down the hall in the direction of our favorite paper boy.

"Yo! Paper breath! Thought you wouldn't wait!" Lightbulb exclaims after catching up with her friend.

"Mhm," Fan hums, still a little agitated at the earlier "incident".

Okay, maybe "a little agitated" was an understatement, he was beyond annoyed at the fact that Lightbulb ruined his carpet that he paid so much for. He eventually continued down the stairs with Lightbulb at his side, albeit, while avoiding eye contact with the carpet-ruiner.

The bright one senses the resentment. "So, whaddya think 's for breakfast? First meal of the day!" She asks, attempting to start a casual conversation between the both of them.

"Food." Fan replies, coldly, trying to communicate that he doesn't wish to chat at the moment.

"Not up for chat, huh paper boy?" Lightbulb responds, trying to keep the lighthearted mood going.

Fan and Lightbulb continue down the stairs and into the lobby.

Fan sighs and coldly says, "Please don't talk to me right now." since Lightbulb clearly wasn't getting the memo.

Lightbulb averts her gaze as Fan walks into the kitchen and reads a note that's been placed on the fridge by the hotel owner.

Residents:

I am currently out with Paper getting supplies for the hotel. Eat whatever for breakfast.

-OJ

After placing the note back on the fridge with a magnet, Fan grabs a bowl from the cupboard, followed by a spoon from the silverware drawer, as Lightbulb simply goes with making cup ramen.

As Fan finishes pouring the milk, he sits down, the chair making a tiny screech as it scoots towards the table with him.

A faint beeping can be heard from the kitchen as Fan chows down on the cereal, shortly after, Lightbulb plops down in the chair beside the cereal-eater.

Fan is shoveling yet another spoonful of OhGoshNo's into his mouth when he is met with a query by Lightbulb.

"What can I do to make you forgive me?"

Fan thinks about how to respond for a second. After a moment of consideration, he comes up with the best idea...

"Do you know how to sing?"

(I have an order of bowties coming in tomorrow! Should I add a photo of them to the next chapter? -Fan)
