SUNOO'S POV

It's been three days since Jungwon and I checked out the apartment and it’s also been three days since that moment between Heeseung hyung and me—the kiss that left my mind in a chaotic whirl.

Since then he’s been texting me constantly, calling me every night like clockwork as if our connection needed to be cemented further, as if silence between us were dangerous.

But what unnerved me the most was how easily his temper flared when I didn’t respond quickly enough. If I didn’t text him back within ten minutes, his calls would start flooding in one after another, his persistence felt almost suffocating.

And yet, I didn't know how to confront it—not directly, not when I feared his reaction more than I could understand it. It felt like walking a tightrope—one wrong step and I’d send everything plummeting into chaos.

Two days before moving out, things escalated between me and him.

It was late, the air humid and thick from the lingering summer heat. After spending hours packing clothes, I decided to take a bath to cool down and wash off the sweat clinging to my skin.

My phone was left on the edge of my desk, buried under a mess of folded shirts and papers—something I didn’t think twice about. The bathroom felt like a sanctuary, offering a brief escape from the chaos, from the tension that had begun wrapping itself around my conversations with Heeseung hyung like a tightening vine.

As the cool water washed over me, I was entirely unaware of the messages piling up on my phone. I didn’t know that Heeseung hyung had texted me asking where I was, why I wasn’t replying. He had always been particular but I had no idea it would spiral like this tonight.

Halfway through my bath, my phone started ringing from the other room. At first, I assumed it was Jungwon—he had promised to call me back after finishing something important.

He called me for few days at the same time and we’d chat casually about the apartment or about nothing in particular at all. The ringing stopped after a few seconds but just as I settled back into the water, it started up again.

This time it felt more urgent. My anxiety spiked as the phone rang for a third, fourth and fifth time. Each vibration seemed louder than the last and the relaxing bath I’d envisioned was now replaced with a growing knot in my stomach.

'What if something happened?' I thought as I rushed through rinsing off, pulling on my clothes hastily while still damp.

By the time I reached my phone, I saw Heeseung hyung’s name lighting up the screen, the number of missed calls glaring back at me.

Ten times. He had called me ten times in a matter of minutes. My chest tightened. I knew I had messed up—badly—and a cold wave of fear crashed over me.

With trembling hands, I hit the call button knowing that this conversation wasn’t going to be pleasant.

The moment he picked up, his voice cut through the line like a blade, sharp and angry. "Where were you?" his tone was laced with impatience, irritation—no, anger.

My throat went dry instantly, and my heart pounded in my chest. I swallowed hard scrambling to explain myself but my voice wavered with guilt and nervousness.

"I-I'm sorry, hyung... I was taking a bath, and I thought it was Jungwon calling me—" before I could finish he interrupted sharply.

"So, besides me, your time is occupied by someone else as well, hmm?" his voice dripped with anger almost accusing me like i didn't some crime. The edge in his tone made my skin crawl.
