Y/n had just gotten dressed when there was a hammering at their door, "Y/n, I know you're in there." Five.
They opened their door with a small smile, "Hello, Five. Is there a reason you're at my door at nine in the morning?" He strode into their room casually. They closed the door behind him.
"I thought perhaps I'd let you have the night to come up with a good enough answer." His hands were in his pockets, "As to what you were doing at Griddy's last night."
Y/n blinked, processing how odd the question was, "Getting doughnuts? I didn't know what food there was in the house. I didn't know if there was anything I'd eat."
"Isn't it funny? How you appear there, just coincidentally at the same time I'm there? Or how, immediately after you leave, I am attacked? Literal seconds after you leave the diner? Isn't that funny?" He challenged, standing firm.
Y/n's face flicked to one of concern, "You were attacked? Are you okay? I'm glad you're alive-"
"Stop."
Y/n shook their head, "You were attacked, Five. What happened?"
"Nothing for you to concern yourself with." He responded shortly, "So according to you, it was just a coincidence."
Y/n tilted their head slightly and sighed, "I know you're suspicious of me. Because you've forgotten. Your instinct will never be that everyone else is right, and you're wrong. So I'm sure that no matter how much proof there is that I've lived here with you for years, it won't be enough. I mean, we're standing in my fucking bedroom, which, somehow you know the location of?"
Five paused at this for a moment and looked around. He was, in fact, standing in their bedroom. It looked like it had been lived in. There was no dust anywhere. And he did, in fact, automatically know the location of it. Now that was strange.
"But that doesn't matter." Y/n continued, "Because again, there is nothing I can do, nothing anyone else can do to convince you that I live here, that I've almost always lived here. So obviously, everything I do is suspicious to you. You are always going to think I'm up to something until you come to the realisation on your own that we were best friends."
Five said nothing. He turned on his heel and left the room, shutting the door behind him.
Y/n sighed. They ran a comb through their hair and fixed up their appearance a little, and by the time they were done, they heard Klaus being loud in the hallway. "Your mother, that slut!" He was shouting.
Y/n opened the door, amused, "Who's a-" they caught sight of Five, "are you calling Grace a slut?"
Klaus let out a laugh. He was dressed strangely, "Hello Y/n. No, don't worry. I was talking about the mother of my son, here." He gestured wildly to Five, "It's take your son to work day, or something. We're going to see a man about an eye."
Five turned slowly to him, "Thanks a lot, Klaus."
Y/n blinked, "Oh. Well, good luck with that. Maybe you should put him up for adoption." They grinned, turning to go back into their room.
"Oh no you don't." Five interrupted them, "Change of plans. Y/n's coming with us."
"What?"
"I don't trust you enough and Klaus has just given away our plans. I need to keep an eye on you, make sure you don't go anywhere with that information."
Y/n sighed, before shrugging and closing their bedroom door to go and join them, "Well, no complaints, sounds like fun."
Klaus clapped his hands, "What fun! I've adopted another child!"
