It was the evening when Y/n snuck out of the academy without a word. They didn't want anyone to know where they were going. And hopefully, nobody would even notice they were missing.
They arrived at The Obsidian Hotel, trusting where their feet led them but not entirely sure it was correct. Luckily enough for them, they walked in to see five people standing around a bar. The Umbrellas. Minus Luther, of course.
Y/n cleared their throat and the group turned around in shock.
"Y/n." The one in black said, staring at them.
The one who was wearing a colourful patterned shirt gave them a wave.
Y/n looked at them, "Hi."
"What are you doing here?" One of the guys looked at them. The moody one, Y/n had temporarily named him.
"Remember us, yet?" The younger one raised an eyebrow, looking at them. Five, right? That was his name?
They looked away, and then back, "Should I?"
The quiet one with the short hair looked at them, "I was meant to meet with Marcus earlier today, but he never showed. Do you know where he is?"
Y/n blinked, "Marcus is missing."
The moody guy raised his eyebrows, "So, what, you're here to fight us or something? Threaten us? Deliver a message?"
"No. They don't know I'm here."
The younger one crossed his arms, "So why are you here?"
The words were spilling from their mouth before they even registered them, "I want to know about me."
"What do you mean by that?"
Y/n stuck their hands in their pockets, "You know me." They hummed, "You all know me. And I want answers."
Five sighed, shaking his head, "We don't have time for this."
"We have plenty of time." They said coolly, "You certainly do."
"What in the hell does that mean?"
The quiet one cleared his throat, "Alright, alright. How about we just start with introductions, okay? Harmless, quick, and we can go from there. Alright?" Upon small nods from the group, they began, "I'm Viktor. Hargreeves."
"Klaus Hargreeves." The one in the patterned shirt said, doing a dramatic bow.
The moody one crossed his arms, "Diego."
The one in black tried a small smile, "Allison."
"Five." The younger one said simply.
Y/n nodded, "Uh, the other one- Luther. He said I was one of you guys. What does that mean?"
Five glanced at them before looking back down at a book, "Look, as much as I'm sure we'd all love to help you remember us or whatever, we have more important matters."
"You can't all just show up at my house and start talking about me like you know me, and then not give answers." Y/n crossed their arms, "That's not fair."
"Yeah, I mean, we have time, right?" Allison looked around at the others.
"No." Five's tone was firm, "We do not." His voice softened slightly as he looked at Y/n, "I'm sorry about your memories, alright? But right now we have more pressing matters, and without your memories you are of no use."
Y/n raised an eyebrow and turned, beginning to walk away, "Alright, good luck with the apocalypse." They said casually.
In an instant, Five blinked in front of them, "There is no apocalypse." He looked wary of them, and definitely curious.
