The Hidden World consists of a lot of the dragons that still exist. The Hidden World is led by APPIUS. APPIUS's wife is named DRAVEN, the queen of The Hidden World. LUNA (lightfury) is one of the two offspring of APPIUS and DRAVEN. LUNA is typically seen as the disappointment of the family due to her defiance to partake in cruel activities that the royal family does. She also badly wishes to visit outside The Hidden World, but APPIUS doesn't let her leave. QUELLA is LUNA's sister, and she's very bratty and spoiled. Frequently, QUELLA harasses and insults LUNA for her failures within the family.
Toothless (Nightfury) lost his parents at a very young age to a Deathgripper, and was forced to live by himself and teach himself as time passed by. He's been picked on and taunted for being the only Nightfury alive. He goes outside The Hidden World often. Toothless met Stormfly, a deadly naddar, a year before the story starts, and they've become best friends with Stormfly supporting Toothless whenever she could.
It was said that The Hidden World held most of the existing dragons, but it did not say all.
There is another Dragon Kingdom, dominated by Deathgrippers and led by a very large unholy hybrid of a Deathgripper and a Deadly Nadder, named the "Death Stinger", commonly called the Lord of Dragons. The dragons that live in this kingdom live in fear of the Death Stinger.
