[LUNA'S POV]
It's been years since the last royal parade was hosted here in The Hidden World, but in just a week, my father, Appius, will be hosting it yet again. I never really enjoyed parades, even the last royal one, but my parents are forcing me to come to this one since "it'd look good for us". It'd be amazing if they ever took what I thought into consideration but they just don't!

[7 days until the royal parade.]

I woke up, it's already Noon and I see my Sister, Quella, sitting on her bed.
Quella: "Someone woke up late again."
Luna: "I didn't miss anything, did I?""
I spoke with an annoyed tone. Dealing with a bratty sister every single day of your life gets tiring after a while. Well, more like after just a day with her.
Quella: "Oh nothing important, besides my fathers announcement that I'll be next in line for the crown!"
I got up from my bed and walked out. I wasn't in the mood to play her games. As I walked out, I saw my father and mother speaking to each other. I walk past them as they glare at me. I don't like to speak to my parents, and they don't like to speak to me, so this is how most mornings go. I got outside our Den, then flew far from the main city of The Hidden World to a large rock with grass and flowers on top of it. I spend most of my time here, alone with my own thoughts. It's peaceful here but it does get lonely. ...Sometimes, I get jealous when I see lovely couples together. I wish I had someone who I loved like that, someone I could trust and go to when I'm hurting, but no, I'm just... alone.

I sit there on the rock for a good few hours until I finally fly back. I decide to walk around the Kingdom for a bit as I know my parents won't care if I'm not back home until midnight. I don't have the best reputation; mostly due to my sister who doesn't ever stop talking bad about me. As I walk through I get a lot of nasty looks from the other dragons and see them whispering to one another while looking at me. I try my best to ignore the anger and sadness that develops in me. Eventually I get to my destination: the local river. See, in The Hidden World, there's a large waterway that goes through the entire Kingdom. In it, fish can be found. And directly above it? Well, the entrance and exit of The Hidden World. I look up into the sky and daydream about flying out of here and exploring what's outside, but my parents forbid me from going. I look back down at the river and start hunting for fish.

I'm able to catch 3-4 fish, which isn't really a lot but it's a good number for this river. I get ready to leave after putting all my fish down in a pile until I hear movement in a bush up ahead across the river. This startles me because hardly anyone comes to this river in the day. Never knew why... but that's not important. I stare at the Bush across the river intently, getting a bit worried as I slowly back away. Until I see a dark dragon peep his head out from the bush.
...Is that a Nightfury?!
I froze up. I was told they all were dead, that none remained, but standing just across the River was one, *A Nightfury.*
I stand there nervously, both of us staring at each other. The Nightfury looks a bit scary, im not used to seeing one, but something about him makes me feel... strange. He looks-
T: "...Hello?"
I jump, not expecting him to speak. He laughs a bit, not in a mean way.
T: "Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you."
L: "N-no it's okay."
We stay silent and still for a few seconds until I finally speak.
L: "...What's your name?"
T: "I'm Toothless."
He smiles at me. I was caught off guard by this since I don't remember the last time anyone smiled at ME.
T: "What about you, Princess?"
He knows I'm royalty?!
L: "M-my names Luna."
I hate people knowing I'm royalty, the ones who don't hate me only try to desperately impress me, not out of love, but out of desire to get rich.
Toothless keeps his smile.
T: "That's a beautiful name, Luna."
It's hard for me to tell if he's like the others, trying something to get something from me, or if he sincerely means what he said, but when he says it, it makes me feel.. warm and fuzzy? It's hard to describe the feeling.
I don't even realize I'm blushing and sitting there in complete silence until he speaks again.
"It was nice meeting you, I hope I didn't waste any of your time, Princess."
L: "N-not at all, Toothless."
He smiles, then he turns and leaves, going through the bush making it impossible to know where he went. I forget about the fish as I fly back home, still blushing and thinking about that Nightfury.

I arrive home late. I thought my parents would let me by as usual, but this time, they stop me.
Appius: "Luna, where were you this time?"
Luna: "I was only out fishing."
Appius: "Don't lie to me, Luna. Where else did you go?"
Luna: "I said-"
My father shoves me hard, knocking me off my feat as I look up at him.
Appius: "You better start growing up Luna, and being more like us, "
He gets close to me and grabs my throat.
Appius: "Unless you're wanting to be exiled forever."
He lets go of my throat and walks away. I slowly get up, struggling to breath for a few seconds before finally catching my breath and going to my room. I see Quella asleep on her bed and lay down on my bed and silently sob, eventually drifting to sleep.
