Gregory had always tried to be as professional as possible. Lately, being professional had become difficult though. He had felt as if every time he was around Mole, he had become more unprofessional than he had ever been. He had to find a way to make this come to an end.
He didn't know how he felt about Mole, and he didn't think Mole knew how he felt about him either. Neither was sure of what their relationship was. Were they enemies, or was La Resistance a perfect duo? Gregory had to know, and he had formulated a plan to find out.
He would make Mole jealous by going on a fake date.
It was the perfect test. If Mole seemed to be jealous, Gregory could continue to pursue their "friendship." If he didn't, Gregory could move on with his life and stop worrying. The only problem was who to ask on the fake date...
Of course! Mole's best friend, Dogpoo. It would be the perfect way to draw Mole's attention and piss him off. Gregory could also get secret information about Mole from him. Finding Dogpoo was extremely easy as well. He always spent his time in the school's gardens.
"You're crazy." was the response Gregory received after explaining his plan.
"But please- we must. This is absolutely vital- I need to know how he feels about me!" Gregory pleaded.
"I'm pretty sure he hates you." Dogpoo replied.
"That's what he wants us to think!" Gregory said. "I don't believe him for a second, though."
"What if he hates me afterwards though? I'm one of his closest friends." Dogpoo asked, slightly worried.
"Then we'll explain to him that this was all fake. We can say it was so I could gain more popularity."
Dogpoo sighed. "Fine. Where and when?"
Gregory thought for a moment. "The new luxury restaurant a few streets down. Does 5 p.m. work for you?"
Dogpoo nodded. "I'll meet you there."
———————————-
"Pip, have you heard?"
"Heard what?"
"Gregory is going on a date!"
Pip gasped. "Really? Perhaps that's why he's been sneaking out!"
"You could be right!" Pocket replied. "We should keep an eye on him. Do you think it would be weird if we just so happened to go to the same restaurant at the same time as them?"
———————————-
Gregory and Mole seemed to have similar thoughts. Mole wanted to know how Gregory felt about him, and thought making him jealous was the perfect plan. A fake date was a great way to tell if Gregory liked Mole or not!
There was one massive difference in their plans though. Instead of asking Gregory's best friend out on a fake date, Mole asked out his greatest enemy.
"Why would I ever go out on a date with you?"
"Because, Mark, it's the perfect way to piss Gregory off. He'll get jealous that I'm more interested in his rival than him and go cry in his room. You can get back at him for being hotter than you, and I can know how he feels about me!"
"Oh, that does sound perfect. But wait-" Mark stopped, confused. "What do you mean by, 'get back at him for being hotter than you?' He's not hotter than me."
Mole laughed. "You're both idiots."
Mark stared at Mole, unhappy that he didn't get an answer. He continued on, though, thinking this was a good plan. "How about we go to that new restaurant this afternoon? It's a very nice place."
"Fine." Mole replied. "But you're paying."
———————————-
Considering the amount of drama these dates would cause, Pocket and Pip weren't the only ones who wanted to see what would unfold at the new and fancy restaurant. Once Rebecca had heard about it, she knew she had to make sure everything went well for her brother. Being a generally nice person as well, she took a risk and went to her own rival's dorm and knocked.
Estella opened the door and glared at Rebecca. "What do you want?"
"Our brothers are going on dates and I want to make sure everything goes okay. Do you want to go too?"
"Wh- Mark and Gregory are going on a date together? That's new."
Rebecca sighed. "No, stupid. They're going on separate dates. They're at the same place though- we could watch them at the same time."
"Fine, I suppose I'll go. We should have others go with us, though. I don't want it to look like I'm going on a date with you." Estella stated.
"Well duh." Rebecca said. "I've already invited a group of people."
