Later that same day, everyone was at the house still, and Sam asked,

"Where's Stevie, mom?"

"I just texted him, he's about to pull up in the drive way. He was at Alex's, and his mom is bringing him home." She answered. Sam nodded. A few minutes later, Stevie came through the door. He didn't even look in the living room as he started to go upstairs.

"Stevie, come here!" Mary called. He groaned and stomped back down the stairs.

"What?" He asked. Mary looked at him."Ma'am?"

"You know your brothers are home, right?"

"Does it look like I care?"He asked, raised his arms and shrugged, before going up stairs. Sam raised an eye brow, and looked at his mom, who started to get up.

"I got it, mom." He said, standing up and jogging up the stairs. He knocked on Stevie's door, and he yelled,

"Go away, mom."

"It's not mom, and I'm coming in." He said, opening the door before Stevie could lock it. He groaned and plopped on his bed, picking his phone up and ignoring Sam. Sam crossed his arms.

"What's up with you?" He asked. Stevie just ignored him. He walked closer and snatched the phone from him.

"Hey! Give it back!"He exclaimed.

"No, not until you tell me what's wrong." Stevie glared at him, as if expecting Sam to look away from him. Sam didn't, he looked right back at him. But if looks could kill, Sam would be dead right now. Stevie huffed and got up, walking out the door and down the stairs. Sam followed him.

"Mom, tell Sam to give me my phone back." Sam rolled his eyes.

"I'm not giving it back until you tell me why you're being a little ass hole to everybody."

"You'd know if you were ever home!" He exclaimed. Sam crossed his arms and listened to him rant."I never see you or Chord anymore, and you promised me a lot of stuff before you left and you know what? None of it ever damn it happened!"

"Watch your mouth, Steven!"Mary scolded. He ignored her.

"I just wanted punch the crap out of you some times!" He exclaimed.

"Well go ahead." Sam said, clasping his hands behind his back. Stevie stopped his ranting when he heard Sam say that."I've had worse happen to me. Just go ahead and punch me. I won't stop you." Stevie surprised everyone, and actually punched Sam right in the nose. Everyone gasped, and were about to yell at him for it, but Sam looked at him, not even caring that his nose was pouring blood."Feel better now?" He asked. Stevie nodded.

"I'm sorry, I don't know why I got so, so mad." Stevie said, looking down at the floor. Everyone was silent, watching the two.

"I don't care about that, Stevie. I don't like the way I heard you talking to mama."Sam leaned down a bit and whispered in his ear."We'll talk more later, my nose feels like it's about to damn fall off and I know Brenda is just itching to try to fix it." Stevie nodded and snorted. Then, Brenda got up and pulled Sam into the kitchen. Stevie followed them in there, and so did Elizabeth and Stacy.

"I could slap you myself for that, Sam." Brenda said, wetting a rag and wiping the blood the had gotten around his mouth, and around his nose."Screw it, just tilt your head back till it stops bleeding." She said, sitting on a stool beside him.

"I forgot how hard you hit. I'ma get you a dang punching bag, see how long it takes you so make it explode." Sam mumble, grimacing.

"Well, you can punch me back-"

"Don't even finish that sentence. You're insane if you think I'll actually do that."Sam said. Stevie shrugged.

"If Matthew sees your face, he's gonna be pissed." Brenda said. Sam shrugged and reached up and touched his nose.

"Damn, I think you broke my nose bro." He said.

"You want me to take you to urgent care or something?" Brenda asked. He nodded.

TIME SKIP

Four hours later, I had taken Sam to the urgent care, whereas they told us to go to the emergency room, where they did an X-Ray, and his nose was fractured badly, meaning he would have to have surgery. His nose wouldn't stop bleeding for a while, so they made us stay in one of the rooms in the emergency room until it stopped. The doctor came in with a few sheets of paper.

"Alright, Mr. Sam. Your nose is pretty bad off, being fractured the way it is. You'll need to have surgery to repair it. I'm not saying your nose will change as if you were getting a nose job, but your nose will stay the same."Sam groaned, looking at him."Wait 3-6 days for the swelling to go down, so around the 3rd of March, you will go to my office in the building across from here, and you'll do registration, blood work, all of the stuff, then on the fourth is when you'll have the surgery. The fourth is a Friday." Sam and I nodded. I rubbed his knee and he sighed.

"Okay..."I started."What does he need to do to stop the pain for now? I know he's hurting."I said.

"Well, you need to rest, don't do anything that could hit you in the face, nose, or mouth. Ice your nose 20 minutes, 2-3 times a day, but don't put the ice directly on your skin. Wrap it in a dish cloth or towel. If needed, you can take pain medicine like Tylenol or Ibuprofen. " He handed me a box of the soft gauze that he'd put in Sam's nose. "If your nose starts bleeding again, just put some of this in your nose." He said. We nodded and left, both of us tired.
