Third Person POV
For the last few weeks, Sam has only had two breaks, only lasting for a day at a time, even though he still had to do some sort of work. And now, he was sitting with Ellen at one of his many interviews. He'd actually asked them to put makeup on him, due to the dark circles under his eyes. He sat across from Ellen, grinning.
"So how've you been?" She asked.
"Busy."
"I can tell. You've been really busy with interviews, photo shoots, working on your album, and the movie right?"
"Yep. My schedule is all out of whack."
"Well, I hope it gets better soon. What can you tell us about the movie?"
"Well, I mean, there have been a bunch of different trailers so far. We finished filming about four weeks ago, and it'll be released in theaters on Thanksgiving day."He said. She nodded.
"And your album, have you completed it yet?"
"Not yet, I still have to record a few songs. I just finished recording a song with Brenda yesterday, so y'all get to hear some more from her."He said.
"When is it going to be released?" Sam had to think for a moment, and counted on his fingers.
"December 22nd. I have to go to a CD signing in LA, Nashville, New York, and Ohio, and a bunch of other places after Christmas."
"How many songs are on it?"
"17 originals, and 5 covers, so, 22 songs all together."
"Can you tell us a little bit about them?"
"Not really, because I'm not letting Brenda hear any of them, so I kinda can't go into detail, but there is one I can talk about. I'm sorry if I start getting upset, just saying." She raised an eyebrow.
"Go ahead."
"Um, my cousin Cam, he died a few months ago. He was in the army, and he got killed saving a pregnant woman and a bunch of kids. He left behind a wife who was expecting, and she had a little girl who looks exactly like him, and a son, who also looks like him. I wrote a song, and it's called 'One Hell Of An Amen'. I didn't cry while I was writing it, not one tear, but while I was recording it, I cried every single time I recorded it. You can tell that I was crying in the song. He's like a big brother to me, always has been, and always will be. He called me 'Stinker' or 'Monkey' because I used to cling to him or a tree like a literal monkey." Sam said, his eyes starting to water a bit."When I found out, my mom had called me and told me, and when we got back to our apartment, I just fell to my knees and started sobbing. And no, I'm not ashamed to admit it. The thing is, Brenda is the only one who could calm me down. She stayed awake all night that night, worrying about me."He wiped his eyes and Ellen hugged him, whispering in his ear, and then they went to commercial so he could get 'fixed up' again.
