INT. DANNY'S APARTMENT - DAY
TWO MONTHS LATER

NARRATOR(O.S.)

It's been two months, and DANNY and the rest of the family haven't heard from ABIGAIL. DANNY has gone off the deep in. Drinking his sorrows away

~DANNY is sitting in a small, messy kitchen, unshaven and a bottle of liquor in his hand. He took a huge gulp of it, and sat it back down on the table with a loud thump. He sighs heavily and runs a hand through his already messy hair.

NARRATOR (O.S.) (CONT'D)

He's been drinking like that for more than a month. Every night, sometimes during the day. He didn't know it, but JOHN was on his way to try and fix him.

~DANNY jumps when his door slammed open and JOHN stomped in, stomping his feet on the rug to get rid of the mud on his boots.~

DANNY(O.S.)

Dude, what are you doing here? *He slurs slightly*

JOHN(O.S.)

I, am here to stop you from killing your self.

DANNY(O.S.)

I'm not killing myself-

JOHN(O.S.)

All this drinking your doing is killing you DANIEL.

DANNY(O.S.)

Damn, full name huh? You're pissed. He stood up, grabbing the bottle of liquor before JOHN could even reach for it, and standing against the opposite wall.

JOHN(O.S.)

Hell yeah, I'm pissed!

~DANNY chuckled slightly, taking another drink from the bottle. JOHN stood up from his seat and snatched the bottle from his hand.~

DANNY(O.S.)

What the hell dude!

JOHN(O.S.)

You're done, dude. You're killing your self, drinking like this. You've changed. You're almost unrecognizable!

~DANNY crossed his arms and looked at him, as if knowing he was about to give him a lecture.

JOHN (O.S.) (CONT'D)

You're parents are worried about you. ABIGAIL'S parents are worried about you, so is LAYLA. Hell, I'm even worried about you! It hurts seeing you like this. I get that your still upset about ABIGAIL, all of us are. Doing this to you're self isn't gonna bring her back.

DANNY(O.S.)

Don't you think I know that! *DANNY yells, surprising John* I loved her! You don't know how much I loved her.

~His voice got quieter with each word.

DANNY (O.S.) (CONT'D)

You don't know.

~He slid until he was sitting on the floor. He leaned his head against the wall and looked at JOHN~

JOHN(O.S.)

Everyone-

DANNY(O.S.)

Don't say 'Everyone knows that'. *DANNY mocked his voice.* Because y'all think you know. You don't. You don't know how I'm feeling. Over two years ago, I lost the love of my life. I will never love another woman. Not like I love her."

~A few tears fell from his eyes, but he still made eye contact with JOHN, not backing down.~

JOHN(O.S.)

I know you love her, and I know you won't love another woman-

DANNY(O.S.)

No, you don't know. Not until the same damn thing happens to you.

JOHN(O.S.)

Okay. I won't say that anymore. All I know is that you need help.

DANNY(O.S.)

I don't need help. I need her! *He cries, slamming his fists on the ground*

~JOHN sighs, and started pulling on DANNY'S arm.~

JOHN(O.S.)

Come on, drunk ass.

~He pulled DANNY to his feet~

DANNY(O.S.)

Where are we going?

JOHN(O.S.)

I'm taking you back to my place, so you can sleep off this buzz you got going on.

DANNY(O.S.)

But LAYLA is there.

JOHN(O.S.)

Duh, it's her apartment as much as it is mine.

~DANNY looks at him seriously~

DANNY(O.S.)

That seriously makes no damn sense.

JOHN(O.S.)

You don't make any damn sense. Come on.

DANNY(O.S.)

But she'll smack me a lot!

JOHN(O.S.)

Good, maybe she'll smack some sense into you."

NARRATOR(O.S.)

Daniel did stop drinking, with the help of LAYLA and JOHN. They let him, well, LAYLA made him stay with them for the next month, and more. Anytime he would want to drink, LAYLA would smack him in the head. And she'd just smack him anyways.
