First Day Back

6:00AM

The blaring of the alarm in my ear forced myself awake. I sat up and quickly turned off that agitating sound. I got out of bed and walked into the bathroom.

I hopped in the shower and got out within the next 10 minutes. I usually spend much longer in there, but I couldn't be late for my first day back at school.

I quickly went in my closet to pick out something to wear. I grabbed some clothes and put them on.

I brushed my teeth and brushed my hair. I walked out into the living room, grabbed my bag, and left.

"That was quick." I mumbled to myself while checking the time. Today I decided I was going to walk to school instead of Ubering. It's healthier, and it'll save me some money.

I peacefully walked along the sidewalk all the way to school. I opened the glass door and walked right into the building. It was kinda weird being back here even though it's only been a few weeks.

My first class didn't start for another 30 minutes, so I sat at one of the many tables in the lobby and just scrolled through social media.

I heard the entrance door open, but I stayed looking down at my phone, until I heard the person's voice. I looked up and there was that platinum blonde. Vivienne.

She had her little entourage following behind her with their Birkins and blowouts. This felt like one of those 2000's teen dramas.

Vivienne saw me and rolled her eyes. I rolled my eyes at the fact that she rolled her eyes. What did she have to be mad about? She's the one who tried to seduce my boyfriend. I stuck up my middle finger and smiled at her.

She scoffed and walked away; her pets following behind her. I went back on my phone for the duration of the waiting period.

As I looked over at the time, I saw class was about to start. I made my way up the stairs and to my home room. No one was in the classroom but my teacher, Professor Williams.

He heard the door open and turned in my direction. "Good morning, Y/n! How was your break?" He asked with a wide smile. "Good! How was yours?" I asked.

"Oh it was lovely! Me and my family went skiing in Colorado. That place was quite the experience." He exclaimed. I loved how bubbly his personality was. He was this sweet little old man; probably in his early 80's. He had a strong eyeglass prescription, so it made him look like he had bug eyes.

"That sounds fun!" I said. "Oh, it was!" He smiled. I set my stuff down besides the seat I usually sit at and sat down.

Just moments after, students came piling in. It's so weird how an environment can go from completely silent, to sounding like a zoo. Usually college kids have matured and aren't as crazy as they were in highschool, but my college is different.

People were yelling and things were being thrown. "Everyone get to your seats now!" Professor Williams yelled. I haven't heard him yell in ages. "I understand everyone still has their winter break wildness, but it must me contained in this classroom."
