Unexpected Strays

Chapter 11

You had woken up to someone shaking your shoulder, not harshly, but enough for you to
complain about it.
"Come on Y/n. Time to get up." It was Hyunjin, and you were glad that it was him that
was waking you up because anyone else would have been kicked out.
"It's way too early though." You said, trying to pull the covers over you more so that way
you were hidden from him.
"I know it is, but we need to get to the airport so that way we don't miss our flight."
"Is everyone else awake?" You asked, sitting up slowly and rubbing your eyes to try to
get rid of the sleepiness that still lingered in your eyes.
"Everyone else is awake except for innie, and Han is trying to wake him up right now."
Hyunjin said, still sitting on your bed.
"Ok," you sighed, "Tell Han that he needs to grab our laptops, and I will wake up
Jeongin."
"I will."
Standing up, you went to your closet to put on some comfy clothing, and went to the
bathroom to brush your teeth. Putting your hair in a low ponytail, you grabbed your suitcase and dragged it into the hallway.
"I told Han what you told me. Do you want me to take your suitcase so that you can
wake up Jeongin?" Hyunjin asked, coming back to where you were.
"That would be awesome, thanks Hyunjinnie." Walking over to Jeongin's room, you
knock gently, just to make sure that he isn't awake. When no one responded, you walked into the room, to see Jeongin sound asleep, holding on to a stuffed fox you had given to him for his birthday one year.
"Jeongin?" You whispered, but nothing happened.
"Innie?" You tried again, but when nothing happened again, you had to make sure that
he was in the car on time, so you just resorted to carrying him to the car.
"Hey Han?" You called, wanting to make sure that he had grabbed the laptops already
and put them in the car.
"Hm?"
"Did you remember to grab them?" He knew what you were talking about.
"Yeah I did- woah. What are you doing?" He asked, now standing in the hallway with
you to see you carrying Jeongin.
"He wouldn't wake up, and we have to be on the road by a certain time to make sure we
aren't late, so I just carried him to get him to the car."
"Got it. I'll go make sure that all of his things are in the car right now. You put him in
there."
Walking Jeongin to the car, you saw Seungmin packing someone's stuff into the trunk,
and walking back to the door. You couldn't open the door because someone was literally on you, so you patiently waited for Seungmin to come to the front door.
"Hey Y/n- how did you?" He noticed immediately.
"I've been able to do this for a while. It makes things easier when someone doesn't want
to go somewhere."
"Do you know if his stuff is in the car?" You asked, walking out the front door. But
Jeongin started stirring from his sleep
"What?" He mumbled, lifting his head
"Shh, go back to sleep. I'll wake you up when we get to the airport." You said, rubbing
his back to hopefully lure him back to sleep.
"Promise?" He asked, putting his head back on your shoulder.
"Promise. Can you open the car door for me? I want to put him in the back with me." You
asked, but no one was out there. Finally, after what seemed like forever, Changbin came out.
"Hey Changbin, can you open the car door for me?"
"Sure."
Getting Jeongin into the car, you walked back into the house to grab your suitcase when
Chan walked to you.
"Het, we are supposed to leave in 10 minutes. Is everything ready?" He asked.
"I just need to get my suitcase in the car, and then we can head out."
"Do you know if everyone is in the car?" He asked, walking with you.
"Jeongin is, Han, Seungmin, and Changbin are next to it, and I don't know where Felix,
Minho, and Hyunjin are, although I know Hyunjin is awake." You said, as you walked out the door and went to the car to put your suitcase in.
"Can you help me find them?" We can't really leave without them."
"Of course I can." You said, and as you walked in, you noticed a lump on the couch that
was most definitely not there, but you could be wrong.
"I think I found one of them..." Walking slowly to the couch, you crouched to see who it
was.
"Minho, what are you doing on the couch, we need to get to the car." Chan said, trying to
get him to stand up.
"Noona, carry me." That was not good. He never wanted you to carry him...
"Minho, did you sleep on the couch last night?"
"I had a bad dream last night, and I knew I shouldn't wake anyone up because you all
needed sleep." He explained. It made you disappointed, but you didn't show it.
"Minho."
"I know, I'm sorry, I just thought that-" He was starting to work himself up now.
"Chan, go find Felix and Hyunjin, I'll take care of him, ok?" You said as you sat down
next to Minho and gently put an arm around his shoulders.
"You sure?" He asked
"I'm sure, just go find the others."
"Alright..." He said before walking away.
"Hey, it's ok." You explained to Minho.
"You're not mad at me?" He asked, eyes doe like. Was he really this worried about you
being mad that he didn't wake you up?
"Of course I'm not mad at you. I just wish you wouldn't worry about us as much,
because it's ok to need to wake any of us up at night if you need to." You said, now moving to sit in front of him.
"Promise?"
"I promise."
"I'm really tired..." Minho said, leaning against you suddenly. Luckily you had let him,
and caught him easily.
"Oh honey. I've got you. Let's get you in the car. Sit with me in the back. You can sleep
on the plane."
I don't think I will stay awake long enough to last until the plane ride." He tiredly said
against you.
"Then you can sleep in the car. I'll protect you from nightmares if you have anymore,
ok?" You said.
"You sure?" He asked, looking up to you.
"100%. Our first concert is tomorrow, and we need every member to be as fully rested as
they can be."
"Alright..." He said
"I have to make sure that Chan found everyone else. Do you want me to carry you
before or after I find him?" You were going to have to carry him either way, and you knew that.
"I can wait until you get back." He said, making your job just a bit easier.
"I won't be long."
Starting in his room, you started looking for Chan, and you found him standing in
Changbin's room.
"Have you found anyone?" You asked
"I found Felix, he was standing in here for some reason, so I sent him on his way, but I
still can't find Hyunjin." He explained. Which gave you an idea.
"Check the bathroom."
"Good idea." He said, walking over to the bathroom. "Hyunjin?"
"Hm?" Finally, Hyunjin was found.
"Hurry up. We need to leave soon to make our flight."
"Alright, I'll be out soon." Why must one person take so long in the bathroom at a time?
Walking back into the living room, you saw Minho laying on the couch.
"Hey." You said gently, to not startle him.
"Hm?"
"Let's go, we'll take baby steps to the car, ok? I'll be right next to you. I've got you." You
say as you pull him up slowly.
Walking slowly to the car, one of your hands held onto his, and the other softly held onto
his shoulders to make sure he didn't fall. Changbin was standing next to the door to help you get him in the car.
"Is his stuff in the car?" You asked Changbin as you carefully put Minho in the back on
the opposite side of Jeongin.
"Yeah, his stuff is in the car."
