Unexpected Strays

Chapter 7

"How long has he been out for?" Chan asked, noticing that Felix was out cold on top of
you.
"He's been out for a while now. Not that I mind, but can someone grab me a pillow? I
want to transfer his head to my lap instead of my arm." You say, noticing that your arm was growing numb, and it was getting uncomfortable.
"Yeah, give me a second to get one." Chan stands up and gets a pillow for you.
"Thanks, Chan." The room goes silent again until Jeongin speaks up 10 minutes later.
"I'm going to bed. Night guys."
"Good night, Jeongin. Han, can you pause the movie? I want to see how much time is
left." Changbin said. Everyone was tired, and Hyunjin and Seungmin were already asleep on the couch.
"Give me a second. About 45 minutes left." Han said after finally getting the movie
paused.
"Someone choose. Do we finish this now or later? It's already 1 am." Changbin says,
even though he was the one to pick this movie.
"I say later. We have a busy day tomorrow because it is the last day of hard practice
before we have to leave for tour." Chan says, and he was right. You all need sleep and practice tomorrow.
"I agree. I don't want to be tired during practice tomorrow." You said, gently pushing
Felix off of you and put him on the couch. Saying good night to everyone, you grab a few blankets from the floor to tuck in Seungmin and Minho. Scooting underneath Felix for a second time, you put a blanket over the both of you and go into a dreamless. When you woke up the next morning, everyone who was on the couch the night before was still there, and you grabbed your phone to see a new message from a group chat that was recently made.
So both of us are saying that the other did it, but the investigation has moved to the butcher shop. You know where that is, right? From Ju-Won
I do know where that is. Why would it move there? From Y/n
Because the owner's mother went missing 20 years ago. From Dong-Sik
Got it. So if you guys need to work together, what's going to happen? Because I can't come out and save you guys every time there is a fight. From Y/n
We'll worry about that later because right now, you know my niece, Kang Min-Jeong? From Dong-Sik
Yes I do know her. From Y/n
She went missing last night, and ever since then, her father has been acting weird. So we are hopefully going to work together to get some answers out of him. From Dong-Sik
Well, I wish you luck boys. And please, don't fight during this... We need to get closure for this family, even if the family members are acting weird. From Y/n

Putting down the phone on the coffee table, you notice a little movement coming from
Felix, and realized he was awake.
"Well good morning sleepy head! How did you sleep last night?" You asked as a small
smile creeped on to both of your faces, you smiling because he got enough sleep last night, and him smiling because you were still playing with his hair.
"I slept great last night. That was very much needed." He said, laying his head back on
your chest.
"It looked like you needed it. Glad I was able to help out." You said. A comforting
silence falls over you two for only a minute before Felix speaks up.
"So who were you texting?" So he had seen the messages you were sending back and
forth.
"Do you remember why I had to leave yesterday?"
"I do."
"Well the men who I had to see for that reason are also police officers, and they can't
seem to get along. One thinks that the other committed a murder, and vice versa. But now they are working together to find a missing young lady, just to make sure that the father didn't commit murders from 20 years ago."
"Got it. So if you need to go back while we are gone, which is most likely the case, what
will you do? Since we can't just pause the tour and have you go back to help."
"Oh, Lix, I am always one step ahead of you. I usually have meetings to attend, I go
through Zoom or an app similar."
"Hey! He's up!" Chan exclaimed, suddenly walking into the room after hearing voices.
"Hey Chan, good morning to you too. What time is practice?" Felix asked.
"About 10:00 am. You have a few hours before we need to leave." Chan responded,
walking towards the closet
"Perfect. I'll get up soon. It's comfy right here." Felix said, now laying next to you.
"I'll be at the studio. I have a couple of tracks I want to work on before we leave for tour.
I packed up last night before I went to bed, so can you two please make sure that the others pack?" Chan asked, putting on his light jacket.
"I'll make sure that Seungmin and Jeongin pack up their stuff."
"I'll make sure everyone else packs."
"You guys are the best. See you at the studio." Chan said, leaving the dorm. After he had
closed the door, Felix slowly started getting up. Once he had gotten up, you got up to see if anyone was awake. No one was.
"Hey Lix. No one is awake yet. Anything you want to do before everyone wakes up? Just
you and I?" You asked, standing behind him and gently pulling his waist into you.
"No. I just kinda want to stand here for a little bit. I feel like we don't spend enough time
together, you know?" He asked, and he was right. You two didn't really spend that much time together, with you in the vocals group and him being in the dance, you two never really see each other unless it's very late at night, or practice.
"You're right. How about we just stand here for a little bit, ok?" Being similar to Felix
was comforting to both if you. If one of you guys was stressed, you could go to each other for some comfort. It was hard being away from home for you, Felix, and Chan, but it had to be done for you to live your dreams. Allowing Felix to turn around, he grabs onto your torso, and you grab your phone to text Ju-Won.
"Do you mind if I text someone really quickly? I need to make sure that no one has
gotten hurt yet." You asked
"I don't mind at all."

Hey Ju-Won. How's the interrogation going? From Y/n
It's going well for the most part. From Ju-Won
No fighting yet? From Y/n
No fighting yet, but we can't seem to get any answers from the father. From Ju-Won
Well, I'm just glad that you're not fighting. From Y/n
Why is that? I do know about your second job, but I can't seem to remember why you can't be here all the time. From Ju-Won
My second job has me traveling around the world for months at a time. From Y/n
So you won't be able to help us if something goes wrong? From Ju-Won
Unless someone gets seriously hurt or dies on our team, no, I won't be able to come help. From Y/n
I speak for both Dong-Sik and myself, we will try our best to not fight anymore. From Ju-Won
I have a feeling you're not going to get everything out of the father, so I would put him in a cell after the questioning. Just to be safe. From Y/n
I have to get going now. The questioning is going to end soon. From Ju-Won
