"Who do you think did it?" Dong-Sik asked.
"I need you to trust me." Ju-Won said.
"I won't trust you 100%, but I'll trust you enough to hear and believe your conclusion."
"I think it's Lee Chang-jin. Almost everything points to him." He was right...
"You know what, Ju-Won, you're right."
"Then let's go find him." Ju-Won said, walking towards the front door.
"Let me text Ji-Hwa first. We might have a better chance of getting him into the station
from her."
"Good idea." Ju-Won said
Ji-Hwa, how long will it take to get Chang-Jin into the station? From Dong-Sik
Not that long, considering I am his ex-wife, but I don't think that he will cooperate with you that well. From Ji-Hwa
Can you at least try? From Dong-Sik
I can try my best. From Ji-Hwa
Thank you. Really. From Dong-Sik
No worries. Now go get the room prepped. He'll most likely be in today. From Ji-Hwa."Hey Seungmin, tell us a joke." You said after sitting down on one of the props.
"I can, there was a-" He started, but he got interrupted by someone yelling.
"Y/n!" Backstage. Again.
"Keep going Seungmin. I need to go backstage for just a moment." You said before
walking off stage.
"Ju-Won is calling." He said before you could even get mad at him.
"What do you need, Ju-Won? My show is on right now." You said when you answered
the phone.
"We might have learned the perpetrators name." He said
"Who do you think it is?" You asked.
"Dong-Sik and I have trusted each other enough to agree that Lee Chang-Jin has done it.
Almost all of the evidence points to him." He explained, and you were glad that Dong-Sik and him were trusting each other a little more now.
"Well, I can't come to the interrogation today since I am busy right now, but let me know
how it goes." You said starting to move to where the backstage manager was.
"Will do. Bye." After that he hangs up, and you hang your phone back to the Manager.
"Sorry guys, I had to take care of something."
"Glad you're back Noona. Nothing going on?" Jeongin asked.
"Not right now, but after the show, I have a feeling I know what's going to go on." You
explained.
"Let's not worry about that right now. We can help once the show is done, ok?" He said,
walking to the side of the stage with you and holding your shoulders to make you look at him.
"Really?" You asked as Felix had looked over at you two.
"What now?" Felix said, jokingly, but still concerned about you. Jeongin continued to
focus on you, and completely ignored Felix at this moment.
"We care about you, and we want to make sure we help you in your job, just like how you
help us through ours." Jeongin said.
"Thank you Jeongin, but if you guys do decide to help, especially with phone calls, you
guys need to be prepared with what we talk about. It can get pretty dark pretty fast. I'll give you details after the show." You saidJi-Hwa had gotten Chang-Jin into the interrogation room pretty easily.
"Hey baby." He said, having a small smirk as he always did on his face whenever he saw
Ji-Hwa around.
"We got divorced 10 years ago." Ji-Hwa said, not very pleased.
"So why am I back in this room again? I thought I wasn't guilty." Chang-Jin said, but
Ju-Won was already on the case.
"You're being arrested for the suspicion of helping kill Dong-Sik's sister and the killing
of Kang Min-Jeong and Chul-Mun." He said, looking directly into Chang-Jin's eyes.
"Wait what? I didn't do any of those things." Chang-Jin said, but they didn't believe him.
"We can hold you in a cell for up to 24 hours, and if we can't find anything that can relate
you to those killings, we can let you go." Ji-Hwa said. Soon enough, the interrogation was over, and Ju-Won had left the room, when he had gotten an idea.
"Hey Ju-Won, What are you-" Dong-Sik said, but got interrupted by Ju-Won.
"I have an idea." Ju-Won, not turning his head to look at Dong-Sik."You make Stray Kids Stay! Thank you for coming! Have a good night!" You said as you
walked from the stage and into the backstage area. Right when you get backstage, the Manager, who you never learned the name of, handed you your phone.
"Here you go." He said.
"Thank you... Jeongin? Are you ready?" You asked, just making sure that he was
prepared for what you would be talking about with Dong-Sik.
"Hm? Oh, yeah, I'm ready..." If he said he was, then he was, but you weren't fully
convinced.
"Just remember, you don't need to stay for the whole thing. You can leave if you need to,
ok?"
"Alright..."
"Come on, we'll go to a different room to have some privacy, ok?" You asked, holding
out your hand to have him grab it. He takes it and you lead him to a backstage area where no one else was. You call Dong-Sik and after the 3rd ring, he answered.
"Hey Dong-Sik, you're on speaker phone, my bandmate wanted to join."
"Do you think he will be ok when we start talking?"
"I think so, he said he would stay, and I did tell him that he could leave if he needed to.
He'll leave if he needs to." You said as you sat on the couch and Jeongin sat next to you, laying his head on your shoulder.
"We know who killed my sister and how she died..." He said.
"Oh god... Who was it? What did they do" You asked, not wanting to actually hear who
it was, but it was going to help in the case if more than 1 police officer knew.
"It was Jeong-Je..." Dong-Sik said.
"From the police station?" You asked, just to get clarification.
"Yes, the one from the police station. He was driving somewhere and hit what he thought
was a deer. Turns out it was my sister, and..." Jeongin wanted to stay with you, but he couldn't bear to hear anymore and Jeongin had turned to put his face into your neck. You knew that bringing with you wasn't that good of an idea, and you had even given him warnings, but he didn't listen. As he hid his face into your neck, you grabbed your phone and took it off of speaker. "He had run over her legs as well. The reason he couldn't tell the police was because he couldn't remember what he had actually done." Dong-Sik explained.
"So then why 20 years ago were you suspected enough to be arrested?" You asked as you
rubbed Jeongin's back. It wasn't making any sense. If we know who killed her, why was he suspected?
"Someone had placed my guitar pick there. They had placed it after she died." He
explained.
"God... Ok. Thanks for letting me know. I need to call Ju-Won now, since I heard that
you had arrested Chang-Jin?"
"That is correct."
"I told him I would call him after my show to see how it went."
"Alright then... I'll let you go. I'll let you know if I need anything else from you." He
said before ending the call.
"Innie baby, the phone call is done..." You said quietly, "I need to make another phone
call. Do you want to stay?"
"No, not really..." He said
"That's ok hon. When you leave, can you bring Chan in here?"
"I can."
"Thank you Innie." After he left, you waited for Chan to come in before you made the
call to Ju-Won. After only a minute or 2, Chan had walked in and closed the door.
"Heard you needed me. Are you doing ok?" He asked, sitting next to you on the couch.
"Yeah, I just need to make a phone call, but I wanted to make sure I'm not alone if things
go south." You explained as you pulled up the number.
"Ah, I see." He responded.
"Do you mind if I go on speaker? You don't need to say anything." You asked. It was fine
if he didn't want you to, but you wanted to make sure.
"Yeah, that's fine." With that, you called up Ju-Won's number, and put it on speaker.
"How did the interrogation go with Chang-Jin?" You asked.
"He denies everything so we are holding him in a cell right now," Ju-Won said, "but I do
think that he did it, he just isn't letting on with what he did. I'm going to put a speaker in his car. See if we can catch anything with that."
