Unexpected Strays

Chapter 5

Arriving at the studio before everyone had left, you quickly sent Jeongin a text asking where he was now.
"I'm still in the storage closet right now"
"Seriously?"
"Yeah, but they were super close to finding me earlier, like an hour ago."
"Can you hear them anywhere?"
"I can now, I think they are just around the corner.
"Which closet are you in?"
"The one right by the front door to the building, the one across from our room."
"I'm coming, just hang tight, ok?"
"Thank you."
Walking into the building, you see Han and Hyunjin standing in the opposite hall on the right
"Hey!" You yelled, catching their attention. Both staring at you like you have 3 heads,
Hyunjin leans over and whispers to Han something along the lines of 'I told you this was a bad idea.'
"Why are you home so early?" Han asked, hearing from Chan that you usually would
have stayed for a couple of hours, not including the drive home.
"The questioning went by fast. Ju-Won didn't have any evidence against him.
Jeongin! You can come out now." You yelled and heard the closet door open from across the way in the other hall.
"Thanks, Y/n." He said as he walked behind you and hugged you tightly.
"We'll get you next time," Han said with the least intimidating look ever
"Yeah, if there will be a next time. Anyways, are you guys ready for movie night?" Home
seemed super comfy right now.
"Of course we are, but practice is still going on. Plus, I don't even know what movie we
are watching tonight." Dang, it. Practice wasn't over after all. But, that's fine. You had promised to get some anyway.
"Hey Chan, do you know what movie we are watching?" You asked as you walked into
the practice room.
"I think it's Changbin's turn to pick," He said
"Y/N" Felix yelled when he heard your voice, and ran up to you, hugging you tightly.
"Hey, Felix." By the way he was hugging you, you can tell that he was tired. Like really
tired.
"Minho, how much longer is practice?"
"Like an hour and a half at least, but since movie night is tonight, no more than 2." He
said, setting up the next song.
"You guys start without me, I need to do something really fast. It will only take about 10
minutes."
You went to the recording studio and got everything that you all had brought the day before when you had gone home. Everything was put into their corresponding bags and set all nice and neatly right outside of the studio to make grabbing easier when you guys finally got to leave.
"Hey, sorry, I just wanted to make sure everything was ready to go home. What song are
we doing right now?"
"Domino. Next, we'll do Maniac." Chan said, standing in the corner since a song was still
going when you had walked back in.
The choreo had fished 2 minutes later, and you finally got the chance to join in practice
today.
"Everyone ready?" You asked, and everyone nodded.
"5, 6, 7, 8"

When Ju-Won had watched you leave, he knew that he had made the wrong move, asking
you to come down and do this for him when he could have done it by himself. But life goes on, and he had more work to do anyways. Ju-Won had come back into the building just in time to see Dong-Sik, Ji-Hwa, and a man he had never seen before entering the interrogation room. Deciding to see what was up, he went over to watch the interview in the observation room. He couldn't really hear anything because they were talking pretty quietly, but he did catch the unknown man's name; Lee Changjin. Just watching them was weird, so Ju-Won left the observation room. When Changjin had left the interrogation room, he had texted 2 friends of his, Hae-Won and Ki-Hwan, asking them if they wanted to go out for dinner and drinks together. Of course, both agreed and they met up at a small restaurant together.
"Hey, did you hear about the murders in town?" Changjin asked
"I have, do you know who has been doing them?" Hae-Won asked in response.
"I have been wondering the same thing."
"Hopefully, whoever is doing it gets caught." Hae-Won said with a slight smirk on her
face
"Me too," Changjin replied, having the same small smirk on his face.

"Great work today guys. We should all be here tomorrow, as it's the last day before the
tour, and we all need to get a little more practice in since the last 2 days, we haven't been doing much, especially me." You said after an hour of hard work given by all of you.
Felix was laying on the couch across the way, but you stopped him from falling asleep
"Come on Lix, I'll take you home now. I don't need you falling asleep here again" Felix
gets up and walks over to you, latching on to your torso weakly and pushing his face into the crook of your neck.
"There you go Lixie. Chan, do you know if he brought anything other than his
backpack?" All you know is that he brought his backpack from yesterday, but if he brought anything then someone would have to drive it home for you.
"No, he didn't have anything besides that." That made your job a lot easier.
"Lix, can you let go for a second? I need to grab your backpack and put it on to take you
home."
"Don't worry about that Y/n, I can carry my backpack home if you carry me?" He asked,
and I mean, how could you say no to him?
"Of course, I can, but for you to put on the backpack, I need to let go of you." He does it
without hesitation.
"We'll be at the dorm boys. See you there, Changbin, pick a good movie for us tonight." You said, walking towards the practice room door. Hopefully, the walk home, which
wasn't too long, would lure Felix to sleep, but if he didn't the movie would always help
"Hey, Y/n? When we get back to the dorm, Can I be small spoon on the floor and sleep
on you?" Felix asked as if he didn't already know the answer
"Of course, you can Lix. Let's get you home, ok?" Looking down at him, he wasn't going
to respond, he was already half asleep, and you hadn't even started walking home yet.
Nothing happened on the walk, other than it was getting chilly out and Felix had
clung to you to keep himself warm since it was the middle of October right now, and you both had forgotten a light jacket since it was a lot warmer earlier in the day.
"Felix." You whispered, trying not to startle him, but you needed his keys to get inside.
"Hm?"
"I need your keys. Mine are still inside and I need some to get inside of the dorm."
"Wait, why don't you have yours?" Felix asked since you always made a mission in the
morning to have your dorm and car keys in the same place so in case you were locked out of one, you could get into the other.
"Mine are in the dorm. I forgot to grab my backpack when I left yesterday, and I didn't
realize that we were going to stay the night at the studio last night."
"Aren't your house keys attached to your car keys?"
"No, my car keys are attached to my pants, that's why I always wear pants with belt loops
on them, and my house keys are on my backpack that is inside right now.."
"There should be a retractable key on my backpack somewhere. Do you need me to get
down for you to get it?" He asked, already moving, albeit quite slow, to get off of you, but you keep him in place.
"You don't need to move honey. I just need to let go of you so that way I can get it. Think
you can hold me a little tighter so that way I don't drop you?" He didn't say anything to you, but you felt him squeeze you tighter and put his face back into your neck
"I have the key. Now when we get inside, I want you to go change into some pajamas.
We can continue cuddling on the floor once you get back, ok?"
Reluctantly, Felix let go of you and went to change. You had also changed, but since Felix was more tired than you are, he was taking a lot longer since he was moving slower. When you got back to the living room, Jeongin was there.
