A journey of two broken souls who wanted to cherish their lives with one whom they love, who wanted to marry their loved ones and spend their life with them. But they can't because destiny has something else planned for them.
"SHREYAAA get up. This is the last time I'm asking you, if I come upstairs and still found you asleep then no one will be worse than me." Aruna's voice echoed in their beautiful two-storey house who was busy in kitchen preparing breakfast for them.
Listening to her mother's warning she immediately sat up and took a glance at time which showed 9:30 a.m. If it would be any other day she would be up by 6 in the morning, but being the most awaited day of the week i.e. Sunday she could not help herself and slept a little longer.
Hoping for a new day and a new beginning, she jumped from the bed and went to washroom to freshen up before going downstairs for showing up for breakfast.
"Good morning, Papa." She greeted her father who was busy in reading newspaper while having his breakfast.
"Good morning, beta." Manish wished while sipping his tea. He is the proud father of two loving daughters in his early 50s. "How come the early riser showed up late today and that too when she promised an old man to accompany for morning walk followed by delicious Chole-Bhature for the breakfast." He said with a fake hurt in his voice.
"Ahh papa, first of all stop calling yourself an old man. You are only 52 and look at yourself you still look young and my handsome man. And secondly, I woke up late because...."
"Because madam was busy watching some new series on her TV and must have slept late or most probably early in the morning." She was cut off by her mother. "Am I right Shreya Ji?" Aruna asked raising her eyebrow at her daughter.
Shreya huffed at her mother's reply and said "Mom how come you always get to know what am I doing in my room that too from downstairs."
"That's because I am your mother and ..."
"Mothers knows everything." Shreya and Manish said in unison.
Aruna just smiled at them and continued with her work. "But Shreya it's not good to be awake till late. It will affect your mental as well as physical health if you don't get enough sleep." Her father said sternly.
"Okay, papa. I'm sorry and I promise you that I will sleep early from tomorrow." She said stopping her father from giving her a long lecture on 'why one should sleep and wake up early.'
"Why from tomorrow and not from today?" Manish asked while fake glaring at her.
"Because today is Sunday. And Sundays are meant to be fun day and to enjoy, enjoy and enjoy only." She replied pulling her father's cheeks.
"Okay now stop your chit chat. Shreya have your breakfast and then go and get ready. We don't want you to get late. Okay beta."
Shreya whose mood was all happy turned gloomy hearing her mother's word. She nodded while sitting in front of her father.
Today was indeed a big day for her. She was going to meet a boy for her marriage alliance today. Manish got a proposal for her a few days back and after discussing with his family and asking for Shreya's opinion, today she was going to meet him for lunch in one of the renowned hotels of Delhi.
It would be wrong to say that she is all ready to get settled or marry someone because it's not. She is only doing this for her family. It's not like that they are forcing her to get marry or meet the proposed guy, it's just that she don't have heart to love someone again. She is doing this for a sake of responsibility because the society we live in wants a girl to get marry at a right age.
With a broken heart that still beats for that one guy whom she loved with her whole and a happy face for sake for her family, for their happiness who don't have an ounce of idea about her life, she said yes to meet that family because it was for her family happiness only that she is not with him, her love.
Her family is very open-minded with modern thoughts, who gave all kind of freedom to their daughters and supported them in their every decision. Their parents have fulfilled their every small demand and wishes, so this is the least she could do for them. With this thought, she finished her breakfast and went upstairs to get ready.
She entered her room and stand in front of her cupboard searching a perfect dress for the lunch. Once finding the perfect outfit after a good fifteen minutes of hunting, she went to take a bath.
After taking a good relaxing bath, she stepped out from washroom dressed in a beautiful off-white dress.

After applying eyeliner and pink lipstick, she completed her look with simple white studs. Wearing her watch in her left wrist and putting on white heals, she was all set to go, hoping that everything goes well today.
