Nikhil's POV
'Shreya', that's the only name which is roaming in my head rent free from last few days. I mean how a person can be like her. From the last conversation that we had, it seems like, she has gone through more than that I have, still she is so calm and composed, behaving like every fucking thing is fine in her life.
When I told her that she can't go back from this marriage and ask for a divorce, I expected her to be angry or shout at me for putting forward this unnecessary demand but to my surprise, she agreed without creating any chaos, expecting only respect and loyalty in return, which for sure I'm going to give her till my last breath.
My chain of thoughts was interrupted by a knock on my bedroom door. Vikram peeked inside my room.
"What do you want now?" I asked
"Haww! Do you think I only came to you when I need something." he said dramatically being hurt.
"Of course" I replied.
"That's so wrong. I'm hurt bhai."
" Then tell me why you came?"
" Mom is calling you for dinner."
"Btw from when did you start knocking before entering my room." I asked him closing my laptop and going outside my room with him trailing behind.
"From the day you said yes to marriage. I don't want to witness your lovely talks and moments with Bhabhi. I'm still a young and innocent child you know." he said innocently.
"Young and innocent?" I scoffed at his words.
"Nikhil, I talked to priest today and he had given us a date after two months. Are you okay with it?" Mom asked while serving dinner to us.
"This soon?"
"Yes, after that all dates are after six months."
"Did you talk with Shreya's family?"
"Hmm, they don't have any problem with it. What about you?"
"If everyone is okay with it then I don't have any issue." I told and start eating but thought to confirm it from Shreya for once.
Rest of the dinner, went with discussion regarding engagement party. As engagement is being held in our hotel only, there are many things which needed to be take care of by me personally.
After dinner, I went to my room and took my phone to call her. After four rings she finally decided to pick it up.
"Hello"
"Hii Shreya, how are you?"
"I'm good. You called at this time, everything okay?" She asked in concern.
"Yes, everything is fine. I just wanted to know at what time should I come to pick you up tomorrow?"
"For what?" she asked.
"For selecting our engagement rings." I explained her.
"Oh yeah! Sorry it just slipped from my mind. We can go after six, if it is okay with you and you don't need to pick me up, I will come directly from my office."
"It's ok, just text me your office address I'll be there by six."
"But.."
"Shreya" I interrupted her in serious tone leaving no room for arguments and having no choice she agreed reluctantly.
"Okk then, I will be waiting for you."
"Good. Btw did you know our marriage date got fixed?"
