I hurried into school almost missing the bell. As I sat in my seat I let out a quiet sigh. " English," I thought to myself. My weakness, I was sporty, and decent at all of my subjects except for Mrs. Brooks's honors English.

I struggled to stay awake, glancing at the clock now and then. Once the bell rang I grabbed my books and practically ran out of the door. I opened my locker and took my gym bag out.

I noticed Layla walking up to me. " Hey, girl!" she exclaimed. "Hi Layla, ready for gym class?" I asked while walking off toward the locker room. " I guess" she responded. We walked to the locker room and quickly changed before meeting up with the rest of our small friend group.

In Gym class

I waved at Emma and Ava before I suddenly fell to the ground. My friends gasped and rushed to check on me. I felt the back of my head and realized I had just been hit in the head with a football.

I stared at the football on the ground before whipping around to see the idiot who just hit me. A tall guy about six foot four ran up to me

"I'm so sorry!" he apologized. "Dude, did you not see me or something? You better be blind or else you will be when I'm done with you!" I boomed. I looked over to see the football coach/ gym teacher walking over. "You okay Dakota?" he asked. "Yeah, no thanks to this idiot," I said rolling my eyes.

The coach gave the boy a look that said Really? "Ethan come on man," the coach said helplessly. "Sorry coach I know" the boy, Ethan replied disappointed. "This is your QB dad? I hope he doesn't normally throw like that" Ethan ignored everything else I said and only one thing registered in his mind. " DAD?" he exclaimed. " Well, I guess the cat is out of the bag." my dad said.
