We had just left school and we were currently trying to find outfits in Layla's closet.
Ava was sitting on Layla's bed eating chips and I was FREAKING OUT.
Ethan was taking me to some fancy dinner and I was ecstatic.
"Wow Kota your life has been great lately, busy week though"
Ava pointed out.
She was right, Wednesday night date, Friday night game, Saturday night party, and Sunday night hang out.
I guess Sunday is a party too.
May seem like a chill week to some, but this is a very eventful week for me!
Layla wanted to come with me tonight and when she found out where we were going she decided to come
with. Not as a third wheel, she's bringing some guy there and sitting at a different table.
We heard the front door open and Layla screamed like she was in a horror movie.
Javon ran in a minute later.
"Chill! I just got back"
"JAVON WHERE DID YOU GO?"
When Layla and Javon start fighting me and Ava just mind our business, we eavesdrop but we aren't obvious about it. So I guess we don't mind our business.
"Lunch with the guys"
"Wait, was Ethan there?"
So much for not being obvious Dakota.
"Yeah"
"Was he nervous?"
"Coco chill, it's going to be okay"
He gave me a quick hug and reassured me before starting a conversation with Ava.
Javon is like a third brother to me. When he acts like this it's as if he were saying this to Layla.
Every group kind of has there own name for me now that I think of it.
Ethan's friend group and family call me Coco.
My friend group calls me Kota.
People I'm not close with or just met call me Dakota.
That was random, back to finding a dress!
"Wait seriously?!"
Me and Layla turned around in unison to the sound of Ava screaming at Javon. In a happy way!
She jumped off the bed and hugged him
It was sweet, but wait why is she hugging him?
"Hello? Fill us in!"
Ava looked up at Javon and then spoke.
"Javon asked me out"
Layla was squealing and Ava was smiling ear to ear.
"SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!"
Layla screamed out.
"ETHAN OWES ME SO MUCH MONEY, YES!!"
Layla smacked me in the back of the head and told me to shush.
Such a mom
"Ow"
I leaned back into Layla's closet and found the perfect dress.
It was pretty short and blue with long sleeves.
I paired it with a navy blue heel and matching bag.
Layla was rocking a longer light blue dress without a back.
