The day of my wedding.
Supposedly the most important day of my life.
So why is Ethan the only thing on my mind?
"Dakota? Are you ready?"
My assistant walked in.
I have an assistant to help with the books and managing my schedule.
I nodded and looked in the mirror.
Everything is perfect, the way I want it.
My dress, my bridesmaids, everything.
But not my groom.
I heard a knock and my dad announced himself.
"Come in"
He opened the door and stepped in.
"You look beautiful"
"Thank you, dad"
We joined arms and stood at the doors. These doors open my future, with Griffin.
The doors opened and the music played.
My dad walked me down the aisle.
I kissed him on the cheek as he left my side.
Griffin and I joined hands.
"Griffin, I don't want to do this."
"I know, I'm in love with someone else"
"You're gay?!"
We were whispering and people thought it was kind words while we were breaking up.
"No Dakota!"
He motioned to a girl in the crowd.
She looked kind, with dark brown hair and green eyes.
"I understand, I'm in love-"
"With Ethan, I know. I'm happy for you two"
We were brought back to reality by our priest's words.
"Do you Griffin Grey Banks, take Dakota Marie Addams as your lawfully wedded wife?"
"No"
We dropped hands and I caught sight of Ethan running into the church.
"I OBJECT"
Even though Griffin had already said no, it was a kind gesture. He didn't know Griffin said no.
I ran over to him and kissed him.
Someone got married that day.
I am Dakota Banks, married to Ethan Banks.
