My entire life, I'd been a player. Going from girl to girl, until my mom died.
I realized how much it hurts when the most important woman in your life dies.
So, I locked myself away.
No girl could enter my life, other than Dakota.
Until her.
"Dakota! You have school!!"
She ran down the stairs and gave me a quick hug before her boyfriend picked her up.
I went off to work and minded my business behind the counter like I always do.
"Can I have a chocolate frappe?"
I made the woman's voice a drink without looking at her.
"Come again-" I said while extending the drink to the girl.
"Woah"
I just said woah.. Out loud to a pretty girl.
The girl had a button nose and rosy cheeks. She had pretty blue eyes and gorgeous long blonde hair.
"Thank you?"
She said with a laugh.
"Sorry, you're just- stunning.."
"Don't lie to me"
"I'm not a liar, you're amazing."
"Thank you again,"
"Matt"
"Matt" she repeated
"I'm Kennedy."
I gave her the drink and she paid.
The rest of the day was terrible. I was thinking of her the entire time. She was truly pretty.
My shift ended and I reluctantly left.
When I arrived home, Dakota was sitting in the kitchen talking with her friend Lani.
"Hi, Matt!"
I waved at them and went inside my room.
Kennedy..
She seems nice..
***
I woke up and hurried to work.I was hoping Kennedy would be there.
"Bye Kota!"
"Bye?"
When I got to work I waited for a customer.
Then she walked in.
This time, I talked with her,
Got to know her.
She came every day, until one day I got her number.
And we talked more, and then we went on dates.
At present time, Kennedy is my girlfriend of five months. I love her, and I always make her a chocolate frappe. Every morning!
