The world has gone insane and yet all people care about is idols

Nothing could have prepared me for the sheer amount of people that were waiting outside. Security had them pushed back a safe distance from the car I was being wheeled towards, but I could hear them talking, screaming questions. I could hear the cameras. I blinked back tears, I really didn't want photos of how I looked right now out in the world. Felix had told me that there was likely going to be some press out there, the guys had canceled all promotions for at least the next week with no warning, and someone had let it slip that they were at the hospital with me. It was likely one of the hospital staff, but there is no way to figure out for sure who it was.

Felix held my hand tight, "it's almost over. We just have to get you in the car and then they won't be able to see you." He said it low enough not to be overheard.

Chan was already waiting at the car with minho. The three of them, with the nurse's direction, got me into the car fairly easily.

Once the doors were shut and we were driving along I asked, "where's everyone else?"

"They went back earlier, to get everything at home set up for you." Chan explained gently.

I laughed bitterly, "home? I don't have a home anymore Chan."

He reached over and took my hand, "Robin, you will always have a home with us." He kept my hand in his, and I let him, "I figured it would be best for you to stay in the dorm with Minho,Felix , Seungmin and jeongin because after this week the rest of us have to go back to work, but Felix and jeongin were already scheduled for another week off."

I smiled softly, "Felix and jeongin? I'm gonna end up taking care of them!" I was joking, obviously. They both were wonderful and plenty qualified.

Chan laughed, "have a bit more faith in them!"

Minho spoke up from the back seat, his tone light and teasing, "no she's right Chan, I'm gonna come back from my schedules to find her cooking them dinner!"

Felix was pouting, but his tone was light as well, "I can't speak for jeongin, but you won't have to move a muscle while I'm looking after you."

Chans expression sobered a bit, "there is one more thing Robin."

I nodded for him to continue.

"The police will be by tomorrow to get your statement, and ask if you want to Pursue a criminal case," he rubbed his thumb over the back of my hand.

I nodded again, "I want a restraining order, but I don't want to go to court. I may not have a choice, they may push the case forwards anyway, and they may subpoena me to appear in court. But I would like to avoid testifying against him. Not because I don't think he did anything wrong, court is horrible. It's kind of traumatic, and the likelihood that he will just get a fine and walk away is ridiculous anyway. It doesn't feel worth it."

He squeezed my hand lightly, "it's up to you baby girl."

I smiled softly, "we need to have a group conversation as well, don't we?"

He nodded, "yeah, I guess we do... but I honestly don't know what about. I know something is technically different? And there is something going on with the whole name thing, but at the same time, it feels like nothing has changed."

I nodded, "I know what you mean, and I think that's part of the problem..."

He squeezed my hand, "we'll talk about it as a group, not today though. Only after you've gotten some proper rest."

I leaned my head back against the seat, "you're right"

When we got back to the dorm they set me up in minho's room. I protested, saying that I couldn't take his room for that long, but none of them would hear it. He insisted he was fine sleeping on the couch and that it's not like they wouldn't be on constant rotation in and out of the room anyway.

Felix spoke up, "and if he gets tired of the couch he can either share with one of us, or we can switch out for the night."

I finally gave in.

As they said their good nights and left for bed Chan took my hand softly, "are you sure you'll be okay on your own tonight?"

I nodded, "I think so, I think I want some space."

He moved my bangs out of my face and placed a gentle kiss on my forehead, "of course... if you need anything don't try to get up, just call me, I'll leave my phone off silent." He and Minho were sharing the pull out couch tonight, so it would mean waking them both if I called. I was going to try to avoid that.

And then it was dark, and I tried to sleep
