Lea POV

Mom had been filming for ages now. That means I have been staying with Colin and my siblings. Don't get me wrong, I love Colin, but he is not Mom. It's different. Anyways she is coming home tomorrow afternoon and I am going to try to have a small welcome-home gift for her. I just got to think of something to give her.

Anyways I got home from school a few hours ago and I am currently in the kitchen struggling to make my math homework, I just don't get it. Cosmo just went down for a nap; Rose is at a friend's house and Colin is doing something. I look over my homework and let out a small scream of frustration and lay my head down at the counter. Why is this so hard?

I hear Colin walk into the kitchen and he places a hand on my back. ''What's up sweet pea?'' He asks and I just point at my math with a sign. ''Can I help you with it?'' He asks and I turn to look at him, he never helped me with my homework before. ''Your mom always beats me to it, but I can help you if you want it Lea, I was surprisingly good at math if I say so myself'' he says with a proud smile, and I laugh at him.

''Okey, you can help me.'' He nods and takes a seat next to me while reading the questions.

''Omg thank you so much, Colin! I never would have finished it without you!'' I say while hugging him, it surprised him because I don't really hug him.

''You're welcome sweet pea. Anything you want to do know you're finished with your homework?''

''Well, I was thinking; we could make something for mama since she is coming home tomorrow?''

''Sure, what did you have in mind?''

''How about a banner and a cake?''

''Sounds lovely! Let's see if we have everything or if we need to run to the store.''

We checked around the house and found everything we needed. We made a basic cake and then blew up the welcome letters. When the cake was done, I decorated it a bit and right now it's in the fridge cooling down. I can't wait for mom to come home tomorrow.

It's the next day and I couldn't concentrate at school. I couldn't wait for it to end knowing mama would be home soon. When the bell rang, I ran out of school fast to Colin's car. Lucky, we didn't have to wait long for Rose because she too was excited mama was coming back.

While we drove back Rose talked about her day and I just stared out the window. When we got home, I cleaned up my bag and ran downstairs to make sure everything was ready for mama. I grab the cake out of the fridge and put it down. When I realizes I spelled welcome wrong I felt like I could cry.

Scarlett POV

I can wait to be home. I missed my family so much; I always do but this time I didn't even have time to facetime them every day. It sucked big time. The cap dropped me of in front of my house and I speedwalked to the front door. Once I opened it, I heard little footsteps running towards me, that's Rose. She hugs me legs and I pick her up so I can hug her back. I wait a second, knowing Lea mostly follows but I don't hear her footsteps, so I walk in further, still holding Rose who laid her head in the crook on me neck. In the living room I see Colin who is cuddling with Cosmo while watching some kid show. I give Cosmo a kiss on his head before giving Colin a kiss and I hear Rose say a small 'ew'. I put her down next to Colin and she whines a little before snuggling into Colin's side.
