Chapter 6
Ellie's POV
"Baby..." he said and gave me a back hug
"What are you doing here? I've been searching for you everywhere" he said again
"Sorry... I just wanted to be alone in my own bubble..." I replied
"You should have told me, and you should've answered my calls and texts."
"I'm sorry... I forgot my phone back at the cottage."
"Next time.... Please don't wonder off all alone without me knowing, okay?" I just nodded in response and he gave me a peck on the lips
"Come... I've got a surprise waiting for you." He said again and led the way

"Christian..." I called out to him, but he just kept on walking
"James..." I called out once again but to no avail he still didn't pay attention and kept on walking
"Darling..." I called out once again and thank heavens he stopped!
"Darling? Hmmm... that sounds great! So... you're accepting my proposal already???" he said joyfully
"Proposal? What proposal?" I asked as innocent as ever.
"Don't play innocent baby. You know what I'm saying"
"Sorry Mr. James, but I don't think you send me any business proposal"
"Urrrggghhh!!! Why are you so forgetful? Don't you remember the night I surprise you with a serenade during your 18th birthday? Then I gave you a wedding proposal and everyone at your party was shouting yes, but you're the only one who said you'll need to think it out first. Do you remember that night?" he said frustration visible in his voice.
Hahahahaha he's so cute! What will I if he'll disappear from my life? What would happened to me? To us?
Urrrgghh! Snap out of it Ellie it won't happen. So stop thinking of the future, it will only ruin the present.
"Ok, I remember. But no, you still need to prove me that you're worthy." I told him while I went and sat on the sand.
We're at the beach by the way. This is our graduation gift from our parents, a one month vacation for the two of us exclusively in an island in the Caribbean. Gosh it is so gorgeous! I wish I could build a house on this island.
"Hey? Are you okay?" he asked me all of sudden but I just nodded in response
"Come here, you..." he said and hugged me tight "come... there's something I want to show you" he stood up and grabbed my hand
"Where are we going?" I asked when we started walking again
"It's a secret..." he said smiling and with that we walked in a comfortable silence hand-in-hand.
