Chapter 8

it's Clary. Not knowing that you and Jace already told each other your feelings for one another. She comes up to Jace.
Clary: "hey babe" your mouth dropped open
You: "babe!?" you look at Jace and Clary and get so hurt but more angry
Jace: "Y/n it's not-"
You: "save it." he looks down
You: "and you.." you looked at Clary
You: "I trusted you. Your my best friend and you do this?" She just looks down
You: "I thought I could trust you but then you go and date him." you want to punch them both but then you thought to yourself to just let it go and get back at them.
You: "you know what. You guys are perfect for each other." they both look at you confused
You: "it's fine that y'all are dating." they look at you weirdly
You: "no really it's fine. plus I like someone else anyways"
Izzy: "you do?" you turn and look at her
You: "yes I do." you give her a look to play along
Izzy: "ohhhh that's right you like Simon"
You: "yes I do." you smile and Clary and Jace's mouths fell open. Simon looks at you confused
Simon: "I thought you hated me?" you laugh
You: "that was only an act but really your cute and sweet and probably the best looking guy there is." Alec's mouth fell open
Alec: "I'm so lost right now." you laugh
You: "it's okay Alec I'll catch you up in a minute and Izzy you'll come with." they both nod. Then you go up to Simon and kiss him and he kisses back
Simon: "your my girlfriend right?" you nod and he smiles. Jace then leaves and Clary follows.

What the actual fuck. She likes Louis? The four eyed, pea brain freak? The person she makes fun of all the time? The person that made fun of her dead mother? She literally broke his hand like two days ago! Clary then comes over to me
Clary: "what the hell just happened?!" I turn to her
Jace: "I don't know! You tell me. Your her best friend."
Clary: "she literally told me she was in love with you!"
Jace: "obviously not."
Clary: "wait did you guy confess to each other?!" I nod
Clary: "fuck. A text would have been fucking nice!"
Jace: "she was about to kiss me Clary. I don't think I should have texted you in that moment!"
Clary: "alright we need to calm down" I breathe

After they left I tell Simon, Alec, and Izzy what I was doing
Simon: "so your using me?" you nod
Simon: "cool. Maybe this will help Clary like me. You know if we fake date."
You: "this is mostly for me but if it helps you then oh well."
Alec: "okay well let's start"  you all nod and head out where Jace and Clary are and of course you and Simon are holding hands. Jace looks hurt and angry but he's holding hands with Clary. You and Simon walk past him like it's nothing but on the inside you and Simon are both hurt. Jace runs up behind you and stops you.
Jace: "Y/n can I talk to you?"
