As days turned into weeks, slowly ASL was starting to become easier. There was multiple times when I broke down during lessons, but Todoroki was always there to help me feel better, and he never pushed me. Annoyingly, this meant my feelings, yes Ill admit it, i have feelings for him, well, they began to grow, and at this point I was hardcore crushing on the boy.

Yet, my hearing had gotten even worse, and I had began to further rely on sign. My mom and I had went and gotten me fit for hearing aids by this time, but I wasnt ready to tell anyone else, and they wouldnt be ready for atleast another month anyway. Besides, as things were, I had Todoroki to explain things I missed with my lip reading in class, and with it I felt less alone and less stressed, knowing someone was on my side. However, this didnt happen too often, Im a hella good lip reader, got it?

When it was just him and I, we spoke primarily in asl, and I soon realized he had become my best friend, even beating shitty hair. Although I still talked to my friends often, it always felt strange because of miscommunication, and I grew more distant from them, while I grew closer to Todoroki.

We would spend time together from the earliest in the day to the latest. In the morning he would come by to wake me up and we will do a workout routine, and in the evening we would do homework and just chat till night came. Often, I would just fall asleep talking to him about anything at all, and he would just listen. My body seemed to need more sleep than him to function, so I always fell asleep first, and once I was sleepy I would stop signing and just talk, knowing he would be content listening till I fell asleep. It was moments like this when I felt like we were the only two people in the world, and I wouldnt have it any other way.

(Side note, I def reccomend reading "a week of lonliness for two" its a todobaku comic.../doujinshi?, super good, can probs find it on youtube)

SEE NOW THIS CHAPTER IS SUPER SHORT. SHIT. Maybe theres more I can add from the next section wait- ....nvm I can add that whole section and its about the right length. That works too.

There was one little thing that was starting to annoy me. Sometimes I caught Todoroki do this sign after he looked at me, and he wouldnt tell me what it was, as time passed, he started doing it more upfront and laughing at how I didnt know what it was, and google wasnt helping.

Basically, he put his index and middle finger against his chin, then brushed them downwards into his palm.

Eventually, I had gotten to the point where I was used to it enough, and acted like I didnt care about it

Eventually, I had gotten to the point where I was used to it enough, and acted like I didnt care about it. However, my interest was still piqued.

Anyway, days had passed by once again, and it had been maybe 4 months since I started learning asl, and I was pretty close to fluent now. One day, Todoroki and I were sitting outside the dorms, signing away about just anything, and then Deku and pink cheeks appeared.

"What are you doing?" I saw pink cheeks question, and gave her a glare. I looked over at todoroki, who looked like he was frozen, not knowing what to say. Ugh.

"Practicing hand signals for combat, duh." I responded. "Oh." Said round face, who went on probably to say something about how smart that is and she should do it too, but I was looking at Deku instead. He just stared blankly, some sort of regconition in his eyes, and I couldnt help but be bothered by it, as it made a shiver go down my spine. What was he thinking?

Soon enough, the pair left, and Todoroki gave me a brief hug, causing me to roll my eyes. "Sorry, I shouldve been more careful about signing out in the open." He signed, and I pushed him off with a huff. "Thank god you were here with that excuse. That was genius!"

I rolled my eyes once again. "Yeah, well what did you expect, huh?" I said to him. "Who do you think your talking to if you ever doubted my abilities?"'

He laughed, and I gave a small smile when he wasnt looking. Even though I could only hear the sightest sound that was his laugh, I still loved it, hearing it or not. Either way, I get to see the look on his face when he laughed, and right now that was more than enough.
