"YOU KNEW?!!!!"

After a second, I realized there was no tiny murmur of sound, and everything was silent. Deku looked embarrased af, and I looked to see everyone staring at me.

"So, care to explain what that was about?" I saw my mom say. Fuck.

I ended up spilling how Todoroki learned about my hearing loss, and convinced me to learn asl, then Deku explained how he had known all along and how he regconized the asl the other day and what had just happened as well.

"Interesting." My mother said, before she of course, got distracted."Well anyway, since everyone is on the same page, Katsuki, they have everything ready for your hearing aids, except the design you want to use."

I looked at her with surprise. "That was fast." As fast as it was, I was excited. With hearing aids I would be able to talk to people normally again, and, even better, hear todoroki for once.

"When do they want us to come in?" I asked. "Wednesday evening, as long as that works for you?" I nodded, and then I realized. That gave me three days to either tell everyone I was deaf, or just show up with hearing aids with no explanation and have them all know that way.

Once the evening came to an end, Deku and I both decided to head back together. As we walked and talked, we ended up switching to asl. With yet another secret between us, I felt myself let my guard down more and more, partly because I had a harder time keeping my guard up when signing in the first place. With asl you have to use expressions and body language to give meaning, something I would otherwise use to shield myself, but with asl I felt more open when talking.

Somehow as the night went on, we ended up talking alot, and I had even told him all about todoroki. He explained what he already knew about endeavor from the sports festival, and shared my uneasyness over todoroki visiting his family this weekend.

By the time we arrived at the dorms, we had chatted so much it was like we caught up on everything we had been missing the last few years, and it seemed to all be water under the bridge. I had even apologized to him for everything, and despite the fact that I didnt deserve forgivness, he gave it immediatly, saying he understood, and we were both just kids that didnt know any better.

Anyway, once we parted ways and went to our designated dorms, I felt alot more at peace than I had in years. Now I just had to wait till Todoroki came back so I could tell him everything that happened.

The following day, I woke up at around eleven, which honestly makes sense due to how late Deku and I had returned. Todoroki wasnt due to return till night, so I had another 10 or so hours to waste in the mean time.

I started by doing my usual routine and workout, then went ahead and deep-cleaned my dorm, something I already usually do on Sundays. After that it was dinner time, so I headed down to make some for me and whoever else wanted some.

After I finished cooking, Deku joined me. We ended up taking our food into an empty room and ate while chatting for a few hours. Then he helped me clean everything up and we went to bed.

Now its nine pm. Todoroki should be back soon, well, thats just because last time he visited his family he got home at 9:30.

I wasted some time by finishing an essay I had to do. 9:30 rolled around and still nothing. I read a book. 10:30. Nothing. By 10:45 I went to the balconey and up to his room to make sure he hadnt came in without greeting me, but he still wasnt there. I watched a movie. Now it was midnight and still no sign of todoroki. I double checked once again that he wasnt in his room, then gave up and got ready for bed, then layed down and played on my phone, still waiting.

Finally, at 1:12 am, I felt a breeze hit me as my balconey door opened, and looked up to see todoroki.

"Where have you been?" I signed. "Sorry..." He replied. "I fell asleep and Fuyumi got back from her girlfriends and found I was still there at one am. She woke me up and gave me a ride here."

I felt a wave of relief hit me, now knowing nothing bad had happened. "How was your weekend?" I asked, and happily listened to how his mother had visited from the hospital that morning and he was able to spend time with her along with his siblings before she returned after lunch. Even at his family dinner both today and yesterdays had went by smoothly.

By the time he was done, we were both tired, and who knew what time it was now. Luckily, I had slept in late, and he had a nap. We said goodnight, and as I put my head back on my pillow, I saw him wave and then sign that sign I didnt know again. After he dissappeared I sat right back up, having a burst of energy, I turned on my lamp and went right to my phone. I then went to Dekus name and facetimed him.

*Yawn* "Wha- Kacchan? What is it?"

I had obviously waken him up, but was very lucky he answered. He wasnt even signing, but I was able to read his lips because of the bright screen lighting his face.

"Quick, what does this sign mean?" I asked, and signed that sign Todoroki had been signing to me for months now.

*Yawn* "Oh, uh cute, why?"

I hung up the phone.

What.

....

WHAT?!
