Chapter 19: Anxious to Angry

When I woke up, I yawned and stretched my arms out, not expecting my fist to hit something solid in my head. Even less expecting something to grab my wrist and lower my hand, and soft lips to press into it.

"Really, Todoroki?!" I said, whipping around, but being met with a most precious sight. Todoroki, with sleepy eyes and messy hair, lightly kissing my fist.

I felt my face heat up, and he smiled then let go of my hand. *What, your the one who hit me in the head.* I looked away. "Sorry." I mumbled, then sat up.

"I dont know about you, but Im getting up and ready, I know its Saturday, but I have things to do!" I couldnt help but glance back into those eyes, one a neverending storm and the other the sea ravenging below those clouds.

*Right, your going back home for the weekend, huh?* I nodded, and yawned once more. *Yeah. Besides, I have to go fet my hearing aids tested and all while im there too, not to mention mom planned a gathering with Auntie Inko, so...*

He stopped and thought for a second. *Auntie Inko?* I gave a soft smile. *Yeah, dekus mom. Shes always been family to me, and Ive called her that since I was a brat, so...*

He watched me carfully as I went on. *Honestly, shes like sunshine as a person, youll never find anyone kinder and more genuine. But let me warn you, when shes angry shes scarier than anything you can imagine.*

He laughed -god how I wished I could hear that laugh- then met my eyes once more. *Well, hopefully Ill get to meet her one day, along with the rest of your family.*

I avoided his gaze, my face now flushed. "Yeah yeah whatever, maybe." I responded. "Now as I said before Im getting up and ready, do whatever you want."

I then stood up and grabbed some clothes, then went into the bathroom to shower and get changed, knowing his eyes would follow me until I was out of sight. I do wonder, would he still be there when I reemerged?

When I excited the bathroom I didnt see him at all. He had actually left. Or atleast thats what I thought until I saw my blanket move. Walking over , I was met by yet another amazing sight. Todoroki laid there, sleeping soundly, with the sweetest expression.

I couldnt help myself, and I reached down and kissed his soft hair, before snapping out of my trance. I quickly set off a few explosions, waking him up and yelled at him to hurry it up and leave, causing him to laugh. After a bit more nagging he finally listened, and as he left I prayed that he hadnt noticed my red face when he had first woken up.

Fuck I really loved him, didnt I?

When I arrived to my childhood home, I didnt bother knocking. I just walked on through and found my mom on the couch, waiting with a big grin on her face. I rolled my eyes, but couldnt help but smile a little, too.

*Todays the big day! Are you excited?* With asl you have to let your emotions shine through with tone, but how she was more exaggerated than needed clearly showed how excited SHE was.

*A bit.* I responded with a smile. God, what would I do without this woman as my mother, I pray I never have to know. "Okay, cmon, you old hag, lets go already!" I turned to go out to the car, recieving a bonk to my head from the hag herself.

When we were pulling up, I was nolonger excited. Well, I still was, but mostly, I was anxious as fuck. My body felt heavy as I got out of the car, and when we were in the waiting room, I was as stiff as a board.

My mom returned from checking us in, and sat next to me. I soon felt her arm reach around me, and she gave me a squeeze. *Its going to be great, you dont have to be nervous.*

"Whos nervous?" I responded in a grumble, too stiff to sign. She just rolled her eyes and squeezed me tighter, and I felt myself calming down and breathing slower. "Thanks." I wispered, and she turned to look at me.

*I'm sorry, what was thaaat?* she signed with the biggest grin.

*Oh shut up you old hag you heard me just fine!* I responded with a glare.

*Nope youre going to have to say it again- come onnnn~* I glared fiercer, but luckily her attention was adverted, by a doctor who came out to say something.

She stood up, and gestured for me to follow her, and that was when I realized that doctor was there for us.

Oh shit. Its time.

Its actually been quite a while since I wrote this lol. Actually somehow todays the day I started this story... A year ago. Oops. Im just gonna try and finish it today lol. Im like almost done, right? I think- also I think this is about the usual length per chapter but I could be wrong since its been so long but whatever. (Actually its been around six months since I updated this what???!)
