MORNINGS were tough for Charlotte, she hated waking up to the blinding sunlight, she hated the after sex happy couples that roamed the streets, she hated the morning work traffic, she hated the morning taste of overnight saliva in her mouth, she hated that she needed to wake up alone in her bed to make herself breakfast. But today was different. Today she woke up with her legs tangled in someone else's.

"morning"

All Gracie earned was a groan from the other girl, but Charlotte found herself silently smiling to herself while her face was buried deep into the vanilla pine scented pillow, a scent she had learned to love.

THE early evening breeze hit Charlotte straight in the face. She felt herself wanting to crawl back inside and hide in the sheets she was tangled in just a few mere hours ago. As Charlotte's feet brought her to her own unwelcoming welcome doormat, she found herself in a slump. She felt alone. She never really had anyone besides Gracie. Every person that Charlotte clung onto in the past had ended up stabbing her in the back. So whenever she left the Abrams's household, a feeling of emptiness filled Charlotte.
