CHARLOTTE slowly swayed on her feet as she got off the elevator, letting her legs take her wherever they pleased. Charlotte's mind was a blur. Everything was a blur, she wasn't sure what was happening. It all felt like a dream, a nightmare to her. She would wake up soon and still be the eight year old dancing around in the kitchen while her mom baked cookies.
Her feet came to a halt as she found herself standing in front of room 208. It was like her feet knew where her heart was. Wherever Gracie was, was where Charlotte wanted to be.
The girl stood in front of the door before taking a deep breath and opening the sliding glass.
"Gracie?"
"Charlotte!"
"Glad you came back"
"I'm actually packing up to leave soon"
"Oh uh congrats"
"How are ya feeling now?"
"A lot better, the drugs they gave were strong af though"
"Um are you going back too?"
"Yeah probably, just wanted to check in on you one last time"
"That's thoughtful of you char.."
"Yeah it's really is of me..?"
"Okay charlotte, let's cut the bs"
"This is really awkward and I just got off strong drugs so I can't deal with this right now"
"..."
"Come back to my place so we can talk?"
"...please?"
With a sigh, Charlotte agreed, having not been able to stand the awkwardness for one more second. It was odd for the pair to ever experience any sort of awkwardness between them. The last time it happened was right after the kiss. Not really between them but the fact that they had to quickly pull away after heavier footsteps were heard. It was funny because everything up to that moment had been perfect. Gracie kiss charlotte, Gracie apologized, charlotte kissed her again, then boom. Awkwardness, after they heard footsteps and didn't know how to compose themselves.
