"morning"

Charlotte leaned in trying to inhale and keep as much of the vanilla pine scent as she could, quickly turning her body so she could be face to face with gracie. Thinking back to the events of last night, Charlotte thought it would be fitting to give a peck of Gracie's cheek but soon realized, or rather failed to realize, gracie didnt think the same. Gracie was quick to get up and head towards the bathroom. The bathroom where she would wash her face to wash off the peck that was just given to her. Charlotte sat up confused. Was last night all a dream? No, there was no way, it was all too real. So last night was a mistake?
Fuck, Charlotte Harrington had done it again. She had gotten her hopes up just so they could be crushed once again. How could she had been this stupid, charlotte had known Gracie for a good chunk of her life so why was this so difficult. Why couldn't she read and understand what she was thinking. What was she doing wrong?

SELF doubt was all that overcame charlotte as the days went by. Had she read the signs wrong? Were there even any signs? Ever since the kiss, things weren't the same. Charlotte had been met with nothing short of coldness and one word answers. She didn't understand what she did wrong, she didn't understand why Gracie was acting cold towards her. Charlotte had thought the shared moment met something between them but i guess she was wrong.
