Today's Task: Show what an ordinary day may be like for someone with Schizophrenia.

~~~
Alone in the darkness
The voices submerge
Outside in the sunlight
They begin to purge
Walk through the store's door
The lights are blaring
People are looking at me
With frightened staring
I go to grab two items
Sour chips and coffee
But my footsteps become a pen
Writing an unwanted story
A woman walks past me
She knows, she knows
Everyone hates you
But I act composed
I see the coffee I need to get
While passing other drinks
Grab the alcohol
Don't even think
I spot the sour chips
You're worthless
You're already fat
Those are hard to repress
I can feel their words
Breathing on my neck
They tingle my ears
And leave me wrecked
I go to the counter
Why are you so slow
You should've stayed home
EVERYBODY KNOWS
Their melodies start soft
Grow louder and bold
The madness of their voice
Makes life a horror untold
I walk out of the store
Like an imposter in a game
A game only I made up
A game I don't want to play
