A/n: Mention of deaths, blood and might be uncomfortable for some of you. You may skip this part if you wish so.

It has been an awful year for Riwoo, especially after he lost the other half of himself, Hana.

She was his everything. But now she's gone forever, and it kills Riwoo—it still does.

Riwoo went from being the popular, smart, sporty boy to a lifeless, emotionless shell. The light left his eyes ever since her death.

Meanwhile, you're a classmate of his. His best friend. But you've lost him too—the old him. And you miss who he used to be.

You lost two people, Riwoo, and Hana.

You've tried everything. You've tried to bring him back to the world, back to the community. You want to see him return to life.

When Hana first passed away, you were there, consoling him. She was your friend too—your best friend.

The six of you, with Sungho, Jaehyun and Haewon were the best of friends.

Losing Hana to illness was devastating. You thought you'd have more time with her, even just one more night because you knew the next day was Riwoo's birthday.

The three of you had been friends for years. But she left first, leaving behind not only the five of you but also hundreds of others who loved and adored her.

When was the last time you cried for her? You can't remember. It was too painful, like your heart had been torn apart.

Today is the third anniversary of her death. You feel it in your gut—something bad is about to happen. You can feel it urging your body to run to Riwoo's apartment.

You manage to call your other friends, Haewon asked her to tell the other two. She also says she'll be there soon. As soon as possible.

You call Riwoo, and if you could scream in the middle of the street right now, you would. But you know reaching him and making sure he's alright is more important.

You reach his apartment on the ninth floor, enter the password, and yell his name. You feel more anxious with every second that passes.

He's not answering.

You barge into his bedroom, then his bathroom. What you see is horrifying. He's lying in the bathtub, the shower still running.

"Riwoo!"

You run to turn off the water, pulling the unconscious Riwoo out of the bathtub, slapping him gently, tears stinging your eyes.

"Yah, Riwoo!"

You keep shaking him until you notice Haewon standing in the doorway, staring at Riwoo in shock.

"Haewon! Help him!"

Another person rushes in, and you recognize him immediately—it's Jaehyun. Haewon quickly calls for an ambulance while Jaehyun starts giving CPR to Riwoo.

After a few tense minutes, Riwoo starts coughing up water. Slowly, he regains consciousness. You grab him by the collar and shout.

"Who said you could die tonight, Riwoo? Do you think she'd want to see you like this?!"

You feel like strangling him, but thankfully, Haewon stops you, wrapping her arms around you tightly.

"Stop," Haewon says, calming you down. She's hurting too. It pains her to see you like this.

Another person enters the room in a panic, there, you see Sungho. "Oh gosh." He whispered before running to Riwoo's side with a towel.

Riwoo stares blankly at the wall. What was he thinking? Ending his life? He can't remember. Why was he here? His mind is a mess.

Jaehyun spots blood dripping from Riwoo's wrist. He quickly grabs a towel and presses down hard to stop the bleeding.

"Do you have a death wish?!" Jaehyun's voice is filled with anger. Losing one friend was enough. He couldn't bear losing another.

Riwoo smiles bitterly, his face pale from blood loss. Cold sweat drips from his forehead as he collapses to the floor.

The paramedics arrive shortly after Riwoo passes out, rushing him to the hospital.

The hospital is short on blood, but fortunately, you share the same blood type as Riwoo. Without hesitation, you donate yours, knowing it's the least you can do to help him.

Riwoo is saved and spends days in the hospital. When he finally wakes up, he's crying, telling you she came to him in a dream. She made him promise to let her go.

You know it will take time, but you also know it'll be worth it. You're not going to stop helping him. You're never giving up on him.

Because deep down, you know the truth—it may hurt now, and he may want to give up again, but the best is still yet to come.

For now, you'll just let him know—it'll be okay.
