8 years later...

Jaehyun's POV

It has been a long time since everything happened and now, I'm busy with my group's comeback.

We had been practicing really hard to give our fans amazing performances and stages to make sure their wait is worth it.

I don't remember when was the last time I got a chance to sleep but I think, it's not that bad. My body and brain are still functioning correctly with no errors.

I keep myself in the dance room for hours, trying to master the choreography for our next song's promotion of this comeback.

"Don't you think you're working too hard?" A voice stopped me. I look at the mirror and my eyes immediately meet hers. She is leaning against the doorframe and staring right at me.

"Hello sunbae." I greet her.

"Come on, stop it Myungjae."

I blinked before we started to laugh at each other. "So, what are you doing here?" I asked her.

"I just came to say hi. Riwoo told me that you've been dancing like crazy so I just want to see how crazy it is."

I turned off the music and we went to hang out in the café. It's been a while since the last time we met because she was busy with her world tour.

"So, when will you be enlisted?" She asked, sipping her coffee.

"Right after I finish my schedule." I said quietly, almost a whisper.

She nods in response. Silence filled the atmosphere as we enjoyed each other's presence until I chose to break it.

"How are you and Chaemin?"

I see a smile formed on her face. She put her index finger on her lips signalling something that I don't understand.

She raised her left hand and I immediately noticed a ring on her finger. "He proposed."

I can't help but smile. I'm happy for her. When I say that I'm happy if she is, I mean it. I really do.

"Oh my gosh." My eyes widened and I leaned against the chair while my hands make its way to the back of my head.

She looks proud.

From her eyes and the way she talked about him, I can sense the adoration for him. If Jaehyun from years ago is here, he will be thinking that the man she's talking about is him. For sure.

Funny.

How things changed. How old we've become. Maybe we were never meant for each other. I still remember what she said.

"If we were written to be together, one day.. we'll find ourselves together again okay?"

There's never us for us. We just meant to be a lesson in love and learned it.

Now, our chapter of 'love' is done. I thanked her for everything. If she didn't come into my life, I wouldn't know what love is.

I've been going through the phase of acceptance and I'm accepting everything. I still love her but as a friend, a colleague and a senior.

One day, I'll find my true love. The one that I'm going to grow old with. The one that I'm going to share a home, secrets and having a family together.

I regretted it once ago, but then, I realised. Letting her go was the best decision that I could make. It's written and if I'm still holding onto her, maybe I'll just bring more pain to her.

My love.

My once love.

A/n: I just feel that we deserve to know the continuation of Let Her Go. So.. the conclusion is! Jaehyun and Y/n were never meant to be together.
