Trigger Warning: Mentions of blood.

DA note: Thankfully, I have not been in such a position in real life where I or my relative had to buy blood from a blood bank (and I hope that it never happens) so every detail of the blood buying scene is purely out of my wild imagination, with a pinch of logic maybe?

Tay paced about in the waiting room of the hospital as he could feel the fearful hammering against his ribs praying for New's health,

His phone rang as he snapped his head at the bench, his and New's office bags laid there and atop them were his phone alongside New's whose screen was now cracked.

He saw the caller ID to be his father as he immediately picked up the phone in his hand but didn't answer the call, hesitation filling up in his nerves.

His ringtone went off again as he took a shaky breath in and put the phone against his ear after swiping right,

"Tay, you and New were supposed to be at home at least an hour ago. Just where are you two? It's not that I mind you two spending time alone but I am getting kind of worried,"

As he listened to his father pour out, he couldn't decide whether to lie to him or tell him the truth,

His father has already gone through too much of a trouble in the past because of him... But this was his son in law whom he loved so much, maybe even more than he did his son and Tay didn't mind that at all,

"Tay?"

He snapped back as he thought about how his father deserved to know,

"Dad..."

"Hm, go on,"

He took another shaky breath in, tears surfacing his eyes up once again as the dreaded memory of merely an hour ago came before his eyes,

"New... Has been involved in accident..."

"Hah?! Where are you right now?! Tell me the name of the hospital or send me the location and I'll be there in a moment!"

He didn't even remember if he asked his father to come safely before the call ended but he did remember the shaking of his hands as he somehow managed to send his location to his father before settling down there,

His surroundings changed with the blink of an eye as he saw,

The blood flowing out of brown locks,

A lean but soft edged body lying there limp,

And beautiful brown eyes growing tired... Until they could no longer be kept open.

Tay tried blinking it away, once, twice, thrice but the memory remained stuck, whether his eyes were open or closed,

God, why was this happening?

And now of all times when everything finally seemed to be healing?

Why did this have to happen to one of the most giving, nicest and kindest human beings that has ever graced this earth.

New didn't deserve this.

Not after all what he's gone through,

After what he's put him through...

Tay clenched at his hair as waiting became agonizingly unbearable for him. He looked up and around for any sign of a nurse to give him details about how he was doing.

About if he was okay...

He joined his hands then and prayed,

Oh God, please save him. He has done nothing in his life to deserve this. If it should be anyone, it should be me. I should be the one from who this chance of live be taken away not from him, please. He deserves to live, he deserves to be happy, please, save him God, save him.
