As soon as I walked out of the room, I ran into my boyfriend.

"Lorraine, why are you so shameless?" Vernon stood in front of me, his tone filled with disdain.

My heart skipped a beat, and my first reaction was that the truth had been exposed.

I nervously held my breath, waiting for the verdict.

He hesitated for a second, let out a sigh, and said, "We're breaking up. Without my permission, don't come to my house casually."

That's what he said!

I actually felt relieved. I was about to argue with him, saying that he suddenly broke up without giving me a reason, which is why I came to find him.

But in the next second, a girl slowly revealed her face from behind him.

"Hi, Lorraine." Despite deliberately keeping her distance from him, the marks on her neck had already revealed everything - she was the junior he had mentioned before.

I suddenly felt like all my strength had been drained, and I didn't say anything or ask him for a reason. I felt like a fool.

When I was changing shoes at the door, I couldn't tie my shoelaces properly and got so angry that tears streamed down my face. Eventually, I threw my shoes away and sat at the doorstep, crying my heart out.

Vernon stood beside me, looking down at me without saying a word.

Perhaps I was crying too intensely, because the moment his mother opened the door, she immediately asked, "What's wrong?"

"Did you bully Lorraine?" His mother questioned him.

"No," he denied.

"You think I'm blind when she's crying like this?" His mother glared at him and came over to pull me up. "Lorraine, don't cry. If this brat makes you cry, Auntie will beat him."

I pinched the palm of my hand for a while before finally letting go. "Auntie, we broke up. I'm leaving first."

Just as I was about to leave, his mother suddenly held onto me tightly.

"Is that true?" She questioned him.

He didn't answer, which was as good as admitting it.

The atmosphere became dead silent for a while.

After a while, his mother held my hand again and said, " Lorraine, listen to me. Let's have a meal and talk things through before you leave."

"Mom, just let her go if she wants to." Vernon also said, stuttering.

I knew the reason. He was afraid of embarrassing that junior girl in front of his mother. My heart sank to the bottom.

Yes, I pursued him, so he could manipulate me like this?

I wasted a year of my youth. Feeding a dog that even knew how to wag its tail at me. But he was so heartless, kicking me out without hesitation.

I must have been blinded by anger, which is why I eventually agreed to Josephine 's suggestion to stay for dinner.

I want to see how this pair of despicable people will perform.
