I realized that his understanding of "remote" was completely different from mine.

He drove for two hours and brought me to a private farm.

He sat there leisurely sipping tea, while I took photos nearby, trying to figure out how I would get back.

It wasn't dinner time yet, but he wasn't idle either. People kept getting out of luxury cars and coming over to greet him.

He didn't smile much and appeared serious and focused when interacting with those people.

It was such a contrast. Why did this gentleman, who seemed aloof, always say things that made my face blush and my heart race?

I hid by a pond, playing with dragonflies. Occasionally, I would sneak a glance at him, quickly looking away whenever he was about to look up.

As time passed and he still hadn't finished, I was starving to the point where my front and back were sticking together.

"Albert." I sent him a message.

He didn't reply, didn't even look at his phone.

There was nothing I could do, so I buried my head and continued counting the tadpoles in the water.

Just as I was feeling conflicted, the reflection in the water suddenly revealed another person.

Albert!

"What's wrong?" his voice floated into my ears from above.

I quickly stood up and realized that my face was at the level of his chest, and he had to tilt his head back a bit, looking a bit strained.

"I'm hungry," I replied honestly.

He smiled and took a step back, leading me to a private room.

Looking at the table full of various dishes, I found it difficult to start eating.

Just as I put something in my mouth, there was a polite knock on the door. Then a middle-aged man with a professional smile walked in.

After seeing me, he clearly paused for a second, then spoke, " Albert, you came to eat without informing me in advance. I could have made arrangements for you."

Albert put down his knives without any emotions, "I decided on a whim, there's no need to trouble you."

"In that case, what else would you like to eat? Just let me know, and I'll have them wait outside,"

"Sure."

Feeling a bit nervous, I perked up my ears to listen to their conversation, not daring to move.

"This is... your niece, right?"

Suddenly being noticed, I was embarrassed to the point where I couldn't breathe.

Albert didn't say anything, just smiled and glanced at me.

That man seemed a little puzzled and quickly changed the subject, "You seem like a refined young lady. Where do you study?"

Albert casually replied, "Yale."

"Yale! I happen to know some people in the leadership there. Shall I go and say hello for you?" This man was way too enthusiastic, and I couldn't handle it.

"No need to trouble you," Shuyan said with a smile, glancing at me, "Do you want me to?"

I was stuck, struggling to breathe.

"Then you two enjoy your meal, I won't disturb you any longer." Maybe realizing that the timing wasn't right, the man finally left.

Just as I was choking and tears were about to come out, a hand appeared on my back, patting me gently.

"Why do you always choke even when eating dessert?" He shook his head helplessly, "Is this place really that small?"

He pointed to his own Adam's apple.

The first half of what he said was normal, but the second half made me feel more and more uneasy, making it even harder to breathe.

Sexy...

When I finally caught my breath, I felt like all my energy had been drained.
