Alhathiam's Pov:
It was in the middle of the night when I heard Kaveh get up. I turned to see he was sitting on the bed with his hands covering his face.
- Dear..? Are you alright..?
I whispered. I went near him and hugged him. He was panting and trembling. He hugged me tightly, not letting go. I could feel him cry on my shoulders.
- Kaveh? What happened?
I asked him, waiting for a response.
- I-It was just a nightmare. G-go back to sleep.
He turned, making me face his back. I went to go hug him from behind. The moment I touched him, his breath hitched. I kissed his neck to his shoulders, trying to calm him. His headtbeat was slowing down. It must've been a horrible nightmare for Kaveh. I held him close to my chest. He turned around and kissed me. There were some tear marks on his cheek that I wiped away. He wrapped his arms around me. His toungue danced in my mouth. He stopped and hugged me.
- Thank you for being here.
He whispered under his breath.
- It's the least I can do for you. Now let's sleep. It's still late.
He looked at the clock right after. He nodded, and we both fell asleep.
Morning
I woke up in an empty bed. Kaveh wasn't there. I looked around and got up. It was late in the morning. I took some clothes, changed and left my room. I went to the kitchen to make myself and Kaveh a cup of coffee. Kaveh was lying on the couch with his phone. He turned his head to look at me.
- Good morning, Hathiam.
He said, he got up and hugged from behind while I was making our coffee.
- Sorry for yesterday night.
He whispered next to my ear. I remembered every detail of yesterday when he woke up from that nightmare.
- It's alright. Don't feel guilty.
He squeezed his hug. I had this emotional intelligence when it came to Kaveh that I didn't have for anyone else.
- Love, let me go. I finished our coffee.
- Thanks, but you didn't have to make one for me.
I chuckled, hearing him say that. I remember when he would take eight or more cups of coffee at night to finish some architecture project. He let me go, I took our coffee and sat down. I opened one of my books and started where I left off. After a couple of pages I felt someone looking at me. I put down my book and looked at the blonde. He was looking at me, not leaving eye contact.
- Enjoying your view?
I asked him teasingly, and he giggled and responded.
- Yeah. Enjoying yours?
I chuckled before responding.
- Always.
He got up and walked towards me. He hugged me from behind and asked.
- What's that you reading?
I put the book on my lap so he couldn't see.
- Oh, nothing, dear.
- Lemme see.
He we went and reached out for the book. I panicked and held the book under the chair. Kaveh quirked his eyebrow. He sat on my lap and put his arms around my neck.
- Why don't you wanna show me the book?
He questioned me with a gentle voice. I got flustered and dropped the book. He kicked the book out of my reach. He took my book and got back on my lap. He looked at book cover and smirked.
- Hathiam, I didn't know you liked romance books.
He opened the book and started to read. He stopped me from taking my book. His eyes would widen sometimes. He stopped and put the book down. He was probably disgusted.
- Dear. Just to reassure you. I already knew about this book.
He smiled. I didn't really feel reassured. But at that moment, every memory from yesterday night came rushing back. I hugged him and didn't let him go.
- Hathiam? Is everything alright? I'm sorry if I went too far-
- What did you dream about yesterday?
He froze. He opened his mouth, but nothing came out.
- It's complicated, love.
He nuzzled his head on my shoulders.
- I can listen. I don't mind.
He hesitated before answering me.
- Can we go somewhere more comfortable?
- Alright.
He took my hand and dragued me to the couch. We sat down.
- Take your time, Kaveh.
He avoided eye contact with me. I grabbed his chin and directed his gaze into mine.
- Its embarrassing...
- Don't worry. I won't judge.
He hesitated before talking.
- I had this dream where, in the beginning, it was like I relived every bad moment of my life. And then I was with you. We were yelling and screaming our lungs out. We were having our worst fight. And then I woke up. It's dumb.
- It's not dumb. I'll never yell at you. I promise.
He hugged me like I would disappear in a heartbeat. He wrapped his arms around me and sank to my chest.
- I'm sorry I woke you up in the middle of the night.
- Don't be sorry.
He stared at me after a moment.
- I'm hungry...
I chuckled after hearing him say that.
- What do you wanna eat?
- Anything.
I heard a noise come from his stomach. I laughed a bit.
- Wanna order something?
He looked at me for a moment, considering my proposal.
- Alright.
I took my phone and ordered some pizza. He was looking at me with your hand, supporting his head. He laid down and played with a lock of his blonde hair. I lied down next to him and sighed. I gave him a kiss on the cheek, and it turned into a slight shade of pink. He giggled a bit.
- How are you still blushing? I've kissed you at least more than a hundred times.
- I don't know. I guess you have that effect on me.
He said, accompanied by a playful wink. I chuckled a bit and cupped his cheek. I kissed him softly before playing with a lock of his hair.
- I love you...
He whispered next to my ear.
- I love you too.
