Meeting The Programmer

Carl:"welcome back to the land of the living."

You wake up disoriented.

You:"how long was I out?"

Perception: you hear your own voice and it sounds distorted. Robotic almost.

Lucy:"a few hours."

Carl:"you did lose a lot of blood and I wanted to let you die. But Lucy convinced me to let you live."

You:"can I eat like normal?"

Carl:"no but you can use straw to drink soup out. But that's not a problem is it?"

You:"no."

Carl:"good. Now get out."

You both leave Carl's office and walk onto the sidewalk.

You:"thanks for covering the cost."

Lucy:"no problem."

Electrochemistry: you like her do you?

You: no.

Volition: good. You can't let love get in the way of the case.

You:"I'm going to start heading home."

Lucy:"see you tomorrow detective."

She walked away and you started to head back to your office.

Timeskip

You walk through your office door and see Rebecca sitting at your desk and David playing with Weiss.

Rebecca:"took you long enough."

You:"I had a few errands to run."

David:"cool mask."

You:"thanks. You two are free to go."

Rebecca got out of your chair and left your office.

You:"why are you still here?"

David:"I don't have anywhere to go anymore."

You:"you don't?"

David:"I was kicked out of my apartment and I don't have any other family."

You(empathy):"you can stay here."

David:"really?"

You(empathy):"I mean it. You can sleep here till you can get back on your feet."

David: he gives you a smile. "Thanks detective."

You:"call me (f/n)."

David:"where am I going to sleep?"

Empathy: let him sleep in your bed.

Half-light: no. You don't know if he will mess with your things.

Empathy: that isn't a valid reason to keep him from sleeping in his room.

You(empathy):"you can sleep in my room."

You take him to your bedroom.

David:"you have a really big room."

He walked to the bed and sat down. He looked at a nightstand and found a turned down picture. He picked it up and looked at it.

David:"who's the girl in the picture?"

Half-light: I told you he would touch your things.

You take the picture from him.

You:"don't touch my things."

David:"sorry."

You:"I'm going to sleep at my desk."

You left the room and sat at your desk.
