The detective stepped back. "what was that?!" The detective replied, a little shook up. "Sorry we didn't want you to stay in that memory forever. We still have a lot more to show you." The detective began to walk forward. "What's next?" The voice spoke again. "Simple we're going to see your next memory. After that day, you and Maria would become friends. Soon that friendship would blossom into the two of you falling in love. When you were 17, you wanted to get Maria a gift for her birthday." The detective noticed a door and walk through it.

Second person

You walk into your apartment and sit down on the couch.

Perception: this place is very dirty and unclean. At least it doesn't smell bad.

Volition: you really need to clean this place.

You: sorry. I've been so busy I never found the time to clean up.

Suddenly you get a call from Maria.

You: shit it's Maria!

Composure: calm down. You've been with her for two years. Why do you still get flustered every time she calls?

You: what's wrong with that?

Composure: nothing. It's just weird.

You answer the call.

You:"hey Maria. What's up?"

Maria:"nothing. Just got out of school."

You:"cool. So are you doing anything later?"

Maria:"I am. I'm heading over to this nice boy's apartment."

You:"maybe you should take your time. Maybe he didn't clean his place."

Maria:"alright. I'll take my time getting to his place."

She ends the call and you immediately stand up.

You: alright. Let's get this place cleaned up.

Timeskip

While you finished cleaning, there was a knock on the door.

You: that must be Maria.

Apartment(perception): this place looks relatively clean. There was still garbage on the floor but not enough for her to say you live in a dump.

You walk to the door and open it.

You:"hey Maria."

Maria:"I see you cleaned up the place."

You:"yeah. I've been cleaning since you called."

Maria:"no one had any jobs for you today?"

You:"no. Well come in."

You take her inside and you both sit down.

You:"so how was school?"

Maria:"boring as usual."

You:"how about your day?"

Maria:"it's getting better now that I'm with you."

Empathy: you make a small smile.

Maria:"so do you know what tomorrow is?"

You:"what?"

Maria:"you know. Come-on."

You: I actually don't know.

Volition: it's her birthday.

You: shit that's tomorrow?!

Volition: how could you forget?

You: work.

Volition: makes sense.
